NOW COME THE RESPONSIBILITIES

No sooner than the last votes were counted and the results were in from the November 4, 2014 mid-term elections, the current president of the United States let everyone know that he doesn’t give a rip about the United States of America nor does he give a rip about the citizens of the United States of America. His purpose as the president of the United States is to take this country down, to destroy this country. Yes, I said destroy this country. His intent was never to make this country more prosperous.

How can I possibly say this, you may ask? Well, just look at the policies that he and his Democrat henchmen have crammed down our throats. Obamacare is certainly not making America a more prosperous nation. People are going to be paying substantially more for health care and get less. While the stock market is up and my portfolio is a little bigger, it’s probably going to take that increase in my wealth to pay for my health insurance. Of course having to pay more for health insurance is going to make it necessary that I cut back on other things like going out to eat, taking trips, and going to concerts, etc. The restaurants won’t take in as much money; the hotels won’t take in as much money, and so on. It will have a trickledown effect.  When millions of people are in the same boat, this will certainly affect our economy. Furthermore, granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens who are breaking the law just by being in this country illegally will make certain areas very dangerous to live in, drive through, and work in. Furthermore, these folks will be competing with real American citizens for jobs. Not everybody will be able to get a job, thus, increasing amounts will be distributed for unemployment, welfare, food stamps, healthcare, etc. I could write a lot more, but won’t because the above is not the purpose of this post. The above is to demonstrate how the current president hates the United States of America and its citizens.

I heard someone on the news earlier say that what just happened to the current president hasn’t sunk in yet. Well, I disagree. I believe that the current president knows just what has happened to him. He is trying to minimize it by saying that because voter turnout was low and many in his base failed to make the effort to vote, that the American people still love him and his policies. I wonder who came up with that spin?

In addition to his life-long hatred of Republicans, he is also mad and Senate and House Democrats who were up for re-election and tried to distance themselves from him as they campaigned for re-election. Furthermore, he is angry at his base that didn’t bother to vote. So, this president is very angry and the United States of America.

Like I said in my previous post, this president didn’t lose his pen nor his phone and I have no doubt that he will continue to implement toxic policies via executive orders just to spite everyone. If there are any of you out there who believe that this president is going to make an effort to work with Congress , I have some swamp land in Louisiana that you might be interested in.  He’s going to veto every piece of legislation that is sent to him. Perhaps with a few pieces, sixty-seven votes might be garnered in the Senate to override a presidential veto, but that’s going to be difficult.

The president has never taken responsibility for his mistakes, always blaming them on someone else; and this is not going to change either. Everything will be the fault of the Republicans and the press will still be in lockstep with this president all the way.

One might say that I’m upset with the election results. I most certainly am not. I’m ecstatic about the results. My prayers were answered. But we have to realize that just because Republicans/conservatives have been elected doesn’t mean that we, as private citizens can sit back and say, “Okay, the Republicans are in the majority, our country is saved.” We should all take some actions to combat what is going to be said by this president, by Nancy Pelosi, by Harry Reid, by prominent liberals, and by the press. We’re going to have to take on arguments and present our side in a respectable manner. One of the things that we all can do is visit some of these liberal websites such as salon.com, slate.com, motherjones.com, huffingtonpost.com, etc. and post comments. I know most of these sites will make you create a username, password, and give them your email address. Do it! If you don’t want to give them your main email address and I suggest that you don’t, get a freebie email address from Google, Yahoo, or some other entity that offers free emails. That’s what I intend to do. When taking on liberals, it has been my experience that they don’t read what you write and start calling you names and accusing you of things that don’t even relate to what you are posting. DON’T PUT UP WITH THAT! Tell them that you will be happy to have a reasonable online conversation with them, but you won’t put up with their shrill antics. You’re much too good for that.

I hope each and every one of you will consider taking actions such as the one that I have suggested above. And by all means, please don’t stop praying for our country. All gifts come from our Heavenly Father. Without him, none of us are capable of anything.

MORNING AFTER

It was definitely a “heady” night for Republicans after retaining a majority in the House of Representatives and taking control of the Senate. We’re already witnessing the whining of Democrats claiming voter suppression. I’m sure there will be additional whining to come. And I’m going to make a list. I’m also going to make a list of every time the current president blames the Republicans for something.

As I said in a Facebook post last night, the political winds have shifted and the American people have spoken. And yes, it was a referendum on the current president’s policies. I don’t care what anybody else says. This president has done everything possible to shred the U.S. Constitution and fundamentally transform America into a socialist totalitarian state; a state where the government desires to control as many aspects of your life as possible. The Democrats want to control what you eat, what you drive, your thermostat setting, your news, etc.

While this president indicated that Congress was a do nothing Congress and that the Republicans were nothing but obstructionists, the Republican Congress passed many pieces of legislation and sent to the Democrat controlled Senate where Harry Reid just let the proposed pieces of legislation die, not even sending them out to committees. That was much underpublicized and, of course, low information voters believed that the House Republicans weren’t doing anything. I wonder if there is a list of the pieces of legislation that the House sent to the Senate in which Harry Reid just let die. I may have to do a little research on that.

This “go-round” legislation should be acted on, voted on, and sent to the current president for his signature or veto. And this needs to be publicized. Of course I know that CNN, MSNBC, and the networks are not going to want to cover these things, but get it the old college try. Send a bill to repeal Obamacare to the president’s desk and let him veto it. Obamacare is unpopular and Americans want it repealed. So, do it! And don’t hesitate to use all of the legislative tricks that the Democrats used to force Obamacare down our throats. By them doing it first, they gave you license to do it. And if they start whining, just get right back in their faces.

Even though the current president was stripped of a lot of his support, I’m sure he still has that pen and that phone. Knowing what he was put in power to do, severely weaken the United States of America and its citizenry, he’s going to use that pen and phone to enact some of the most egregious policies that you’ve ever seen. He’s said many times that he would go around Congress, if that’s what it took, to enact his policies that would lead to his vision for America.

You might say, well, what good came out of last night’s election? A lot of good came out of last night’s results. The American people let this president know that they don’t like his policies and want them repealed. At best Congress can refuse to fund a lot of his stuff and render it useless. There will, though, be bad publicity. Remember the Democrats have CNN, MSNBC, and the networks. Republican are going to continue to be demonized.

The Republicans have to make sure that they get their message out and they must be assertive and not be scared of being called names. Also, as citizens, we have to take the responsibility to be informed voters and not jump to conclusions at first blush. Do some research, don’t let anyone tell you what to think and how to vote. This country was founded on rugged individualism. So, be rugged individuals and don’t forget to continue to hold your elected officials accountable. It was the intent of our founding fathers that we continually question the government and make sure that the government works for we the people and not the other way around.
