Tag Archives: Rahm Emanuel

Whenever there’s a mass shooting, the first thing the current president pontificates about is gun violence and how we need more gun laws in order to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Chicago mayor and White House staffer under Clinton and Obama, Rahm Emanuel, has always said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” Of course, Rahm, aka “Dead Fish” meant that another crisis would allow the liberals to further constrict our liberties and therefore allow the government more control over our lives.

The first time I ever shot a gun, I was in my twenties. My apartment had been broken into and I asked my Dad to either give me one of his guns or go with me to buy a gun; then teach me to shoot it. He gave me one of his and the first time I shot it, I fully realized just what power I held in my hands. I had the power to kill someone. Before he would let me take the gun home with me, Daddy asked me, “Are you prepared to use the gun? If you’re not, I won’t let you have it. If you’re not going to use it and be confident in using it, a perpetrator will just wrestle it away from you and perhaps use it on you.” I still have that gun.

Ever since I can remember, Daddy kept a shotgun and a rifle in the back of his closet and a revolver in the night stand drawer on his side of the bed. I think the shotgun and rifle were always loaded and the bullets for the revolver were in the nightstand drawer beside Mama’s side of the bed. From my earliest remembrance, I was not allowed to touch Daddy’s closet door and I didn’t. Furthermore, I was not allowed to touch either of the night stands on either side of their bed. Those places in their bedroom were off-limits to me, plain and simple. There was only a few times I remember Daddy loading the revolver and that was when there had been some sort of incident in Cullman, Alabama.

Fast forward to becoming a teenager and learning to drive. Upon getting my driver’s license, I began driving and there was never a thought as to the deadly weapon I was in charge of. And there still isn’t. When I get in one of my vehicles to go somewhere, I never think about the fact that I’m in control of a deadly weapon, but I am. In fact, I’m constantly touching things that are deadly: a sharp knife, a bottle of drain cleaner, ant hill crystals, etc.

With all this dangerous stuff around at all times, why are liberals continually focusing on guns? Why are they always getting bent out of shape at the mention of the National Rifle Association and not at the mention of one of the many automobile clubs around? The National Rifle Association promotes gun ownership and gun safety while most sanctioned automobile clubs promote the ownership of automobiles and automobile safety.

My best guess that a liberal might give would be that the sole purpose of a gun is to kill whether it be an animal of a person. Whereas, automobiles, drain cleaner, knives, and ant hill crystals have purposes other than to kill. And we all need those things.

There is something else that can be deadly that, in my opinion, none of us need, but some have as pets are big snakes, boa constrictors come to mind. I’ve known a few people that have had them as pets; all guys and in college. If it gets mad, a large boa constrictor can wrap around a person and squeeze in just the right way and kill the person. And what good is a boa constrictor? It’s not going to greet you and the door with its tail wagging. It’s not going to come sit in your lap and watch television with you. It’s not smart to let it sleep in the bed with you. Furthermore, girls are probably not going to like it at all. So why don’t liberals declare war on having boa constrictors as pets? Who needs a boa constrictor?

Since the Umpqua Community College shooting, I’ve seen some of the most ridiculous posts by liberals. Many citing deaths of children, teenagers steeling their Dads’ guns and using the guns to commit murder. But children have been known to get car keys, start the car, and attempt to drive. Teenagers too young to drive have also been knows to do the same.

Nowhere in the constitution are automobiles, knives, ant hill crystals, drain cleaner, or boa constrictors addressed. The right to bear arms is addressed in the second amendment of the constitution and was put there so that citizens could protect themselves from tyrannical government and intruders.

Liberals claim their intentions with gun control is to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. We all know that’s a joke. We also know that the cities with the strictest gun control laws seem to have the highest gun violence rates.

During the Third Reich, guns were confiscated from all citizens. When the Nazi regime was sending many of its citizens, including Jewish citizens off to the death camps, the people were unable to fight back because they had no guns. Liberals laugh at this and say it couldn’t happen here because our current president and his liberal henchman are such caring persons that they would never do such a thing. I say to this, B.S.

Liberals continue to claim that they are not attempting to abscond with all our guns, but only certain individuals should be allowed to have guns. In other words, you must pass a background check. Well, most states have these in place. The left also wants to ban certain types of firearms. A liberal Facebook friend once posted that there is absolutely no need for anyone to own assault rifles. So, now you have liberals telling us what we need and don’t need. Sounds like communism to me.

There’s so much that I could write about liberals and their goal of creating a society where only criminals and government officials can have guns, thereby asserting additional controls over the populace. But I’ll leave it for another day.

In just hours after the tragic shooting that killed nine members of the Emanuel AME Church inside the church in Charleston, the current president was on TV telling us we needed to stop gun violence in this nation and that we needed stricter gun laws. He also indicated that no other advanced country had these types of shootings. That statement since has been proven a lie.

Rahm Emanuel, former White House Chief of Staff and current Mayor of Chicago, and other prominent liberals have said many times, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” And the liberals most certainly have swooped in on this tragedy and started the blame game. There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the killing of these innocent people was racially motivated by an individual that had a hatred for blacks. Since the motivation of the killer was established, liberals have blamed Fox News, white people, Christians, the Confederate battle flag, and conservatives. While I didn’t hear this, I’m sure that Rush Limbaugh and conservative talk radio was also blamed.

Dylann Roof, the twenty-one year old who shot the nine victims is to blame for the killings. The Confederate battle flag didn’t do it, Fox News didn’t do it, Southern white conservative Christians didn’t do it, Rush Limbaugh didn’t do it, and conservative talk radio didn’t do it. I’m continuing to stick to my statement that the current president and liberals have blood on their hands because this president, along with his liberal henchmen have exacerbated racial tensions in this country, seeking to divide the American people on everything they possibly can…race, class, education, location, etc.

I know everyone wants to know my opinion on the flying of the Confederate battle flag and I don’t really have one. I understand both sides. What I do have an opinion about is the way those who wish the Confederate battle flag to remain flying are treated. In an al.com article, the author indicated that we should allow folks to fly the Confederate battle flag in their yards, place it in the back window of their pickup trucks, and wear it as a belt buckle because this would single out the most dangerous folks on the planet. The most dangerous folks on the planet? Not hardly!

Liberals are also blaming the killings on white privilege and white supremacy. The claim and continue to claim that white people are inherently racist. Does that mean you, white liberal, are a racist? I guess some white liberals, who believe that they are racist and engage in self-flagellation, and some white liberals who think they’re so perfect and so smart that they don’t have a racist bone in their body. But when Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, or Fox News is mentioned, they want to kill Rush and Sean slow and painfully plus they want Fox News off the air and they call anyone who watches Fox news names that I won’t repeat here.

Fox News is the number one cable news network in America and liberals hate it and hate those who watch it. Since Fox is number one, why don’t you liberals make more appearances on Fox and explain your points of view? Maybe you might convince some folks to come over to your side. But no, you liberals would rather hate Fox News and hate those who watch it rather than do something that might be productive.

I’m not saying conservatives like myself are perfect. I’m far from it. I misspeak, I sometimes jump to conclusions before doing research, and I sometimes get my facts wrong. And you liberals are the first to point it out to me, sometimes even attacking me. And it’s funny, you were willing to forgive the late Senator Robert Byrd, Democrat from West Virginia, for being a member of the KKK and saying the N-word on the Senate floor, but you are unwilling to forgive a conservative for a simple misspelling or grammatical error, much less for jumping to a conclusion before having the facts. And that’s weird, because you liberals don’t care about facts nor do you care about the truth.

You are the haters, the liars, the racists, the bigots, and the homophobes. I’ve done my research on this and I’m sticking to my story. And as the title of this post indicates, you never miss an opportunity to swoop down on a tragedy such as the Emanuel AME Church of Charleston tragedy to seek to disparage those of us who you hate and to put blame on those of us who you hate to further your political agenda.

Wouldn’t it be easier to go on Fox News or to respond to my blog posts with facts to shore up your beliefs? I think it would be easier and more productive, but it seems you would rather hate and spew your demented liberal logic.

In a November 3 article on politicususa.com, Sarah Jones writes about the successes of the Obama administration because the stock market is up, the price of gas is down, and private sector job growth is up.

Regarding the stock market, in an article by Sean Hyman on moneynews.com dated March 11, 2013, Mr. Hyman indicates that economics is not always a reflection of what the market is doing. I know this article is old, but it is information that never changes. Here are three main reasons why:

  1. We’re buying companies, not economies. So if companies manage their debt, cash, resources, etc. better than the overall economy, then stocks can go up while the economy does not.
  2. Corporate earnings are stronger now than in times past, even though the U.S. economy is still weak.
  3. Most companies in the S & P and Dow Jones, etc. have very significant international operations that are affected by; those economies as well as our economy.

I haven’t gone in depth with these explanations; that’s for you to do if you have the time. I just wanted to point out that while a sluggish economy can certainly pull down the stock market, and has done it many times in the past, the stock market and the overall economy are not always in lockstep.

With the stock market up, most of our portfolios are a little fatter and our wealth has increased a little. But aren’t we the folks that the current president and the liberals hate? If we’re doing ever so slightly better, then something’s surely wrong. The president may just have to get out his re-distribution of wealth manual and do something.

Regarding the price of gas, we all know how it works. If a Democrat is in office and the price of gas falls, it’s all the doing of the Democrat president. If a Democrat is in office and the price of gas rises, the president has nothing to do with the price of gas. On the other hand, if a Republican is in office and the price of gas falls, the president has nothing to do with the price of gas But, on the other hand, if a Republican president is in office and the price of gas rises, it’s the Republican president’s fault.

Putting aside my “tongue in cheek” comments, Stephen Moore, chief economist at the Heritage Foundation, in an article on foxnews.com, states that in the last several years, America has become an energy-producing powerhouse. And it’s not the result of the current president’s attempts to ram his green energy down our throats.

Mr. Moore goes on to indicate that oil prices are falling because of changes in world supply and world demand. Demand has slowed because Europe is an economic wreck. But since 2008, the U.S. has increased our domestic supply by a gigantic 50 percent. This is a result of the astounding shale oil and gas revolution made possible by made-in-America technologies such as hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling. From the beginning of 2008 through the end of 2013, the oil and gas extraction industry created more than 200,00 jobs while the overall job market shrank by 970,000.

So, liberals with their screaming of “No Fracking,” are doing as much as they can to see to it that you, in fact, pay more at the pump. Even the current president is an advocate of high gas prices because when the prices are high, we’ll use less gas and he and his henchmen can further promote their green agenda. After all, aren’t fossil fuels are evil and we should just let the oil stay in the ground doing absolutely nothing?

Who created this planet? Who put the oil in the ground? If you answered the one true God to both of these questions, you are correct. Now just why did God put that oil in the ground? Could it have been for mankind to discover and use to enhance our lives? But what about the Exxon Valdez and the BP Horizon oil rig? When these unfortunate incidents took place, people were quaking and shaking in their boots, “oh these areas are destroyed forever.” The northern Gulf coast will never be the same. It will never be safe to swim in the Gulf and eat the seafood that comes out of those waters. The Gulf coast is booming. In fact, I’m getting ready to go down there soon for some much needed R&R.

While there was certainly a lot of human intervention in the cleanups of these two disasters, the earth, itself, is an organic living thing. Microbes ate a lot of the oil. Yes, the microbes also depleted the oxygen levels in the waters, but the ecosystem is in balance. There is going to be some residual, but it wasn’t near the disaster that the liberals were hoping for. As Rahm Emanuel says, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”

When God created the planet and put the oil in the ground for us to use, do you think he was that short-sighted that he didn’t for see that we humans were going to make mistakes and a lot of them whoppers. Surely he would create mechanisms for the planet to clean itself up. And, of course, he did.

Regarding the private sector job growth, the current president has claimed that his administration is responsible for creating more private sector jobs than any other administration, even President Regan’s administration. In researching this, I found a lot of information out there to the effect that more private sector jobs were created under the current administration than under previous administrations and the current president is very definitely touting this.

So many jobs were lost during the first part of this president’s administration and we may just now be catching up. There are a lot of lay-offs occurring in the Birmingham, Alabama area even as I write this. And I also have firsthand information to the effect that all of this administration’s burdensome regulations created on businesses have created a new job classification, “compliance.” It’s a whole new field. And we all know that millions of folks have dropped out of the labor force after having failed to find work.

The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in the United States of America and while this president has certainly fought the private sector, the private sector has continued to move ahead. President Reagan didn’t create all of those private sector jobs in the 1980s, it was the entrepreneurs who do what they do, no matter what. President Reagan, through his policies, did give them freedom to create these jobs.

Do I personally believe that the current president is responsible for the current growth in private sector jobs? I don’t, I really don’t. I believe that this country’s entrepreneurs have persevered even though this president has been vocally against them. They’ve found a way to do what they do, regardless of the environment they have found themselves in.  Just think what this country could become if only this administration would adopt the philosophies of the Reagan administration.
