WHITE SUPREMACY AND ITS AFFECT ON THIS COUNTRY

I shouldn’t have to tell any of my readers about the Charlottesville, Virginia melee that took place last weekend, particularly on Friday night and during the day on Saturday (8-11-2017 and 8-12-2017). It started with a white supremacist/white nationalist group, calling themselves “Unite the Right,” obtaining a permit to protest the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee and the renaming of the park where the statue was located to Emancipation Park from Lee Park.

I viewed videos from Friday night where protesters were carrying tiki torches and shouting Nazi/anti-Jewish slogans. As far as I know, there was no violence resulting in property damage or bodily injury on Friday night. Saturday, or course was a different story as Unite the Right was met by liberal hate groups ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter. Both liberal hate groups have a history of violence. The protest didn’t end well with a young lady who was protesting on the side of the liberal groups being run-down and killed by an alleged member of Unite the Right as he plowed his vehicle into a group of the liberal protesters. In addition to the death of the young lady, nineteen others were injured.

Stories continue to surface. One such story indicates that the Charlottesville Police were told to stand down and let the groups involved in Saturday’s melee oppose each other. Another story that has been revealed by the Southern Poverty Law Center indicated that James Alex Fields, Jr., the driver of the car that plowed into the protestors had, until recently, been an Obama supporter and a far left radical.

Again, I don’t have to tell anyone about the backlash coming from the left and the mainstream media regarding their dissatisfaction with the comments of President Donald Trump in the aftermath of Charlottesville. Most all Democrats and some Republicans have pushed back against the president because he has blamed both sides for the fracas, and also indicated that there were good people on both sides. Furthermore, most all Democrats and some Republicans have elevated the left-wing hate groups, ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter to blameless entitles, indicating that they were lovingly protesting the racist white supremacy group, not seeming to “get” that everyone was going at one another, and ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter have histories of violence.

I have had very little contact with white supremacists. Liberals would be astonished at this since I grew up in Cullman, Alabama and currently live in the Birmingham, Alabama area. But it’s true. Back in the nineties, I was working at a concession stand at the Birmingham, Jefferson Civic Center Coliseum to make money for a service club in which I belonged. One evening, while I was working, about three or four people who looked to be in their twenties/early thirties, who were adorned with swastika tattoos, were just kind of hanging out close to our stand.  I was a bit un-nerved and hoped they would move on. They eventually did, but it took them a while. To be perfectly truthful, they were not disruptive, they were just there.  Still, I didn’t want them close to me.

I don’t know who these people are, what they do for a living, what they do in their spare time, etc. But I can tell you this, cross-burnings are not regular occurrences in my neck of the woods. Also, I don’t hear about cross-burnings in other parts of the country. Cross-burnings do not appear to be common like liberals would have you think. Black neighborhoods, at least those around here, aren’t terrorized by white supremacists/Nazis/the KKK. But many black neighborhoods, particularly in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, etc. are being terrorized on a regular basis. Are they being terrorized by White Supremacists? No, they are being terrorized by other blacks, particularly black gangs. While I haven’t researched this, I’m going to speculate that more blacks are killed by other blacks than by white supremacists. Are Jews rounded up and transported to labor/death camps by these people? Not that I know of.

A few days ago, I heard some talking head had indicated that the number of white supremacists/neo-Nazis/white nationalists in this country numbered about 100,000. That’s less that the seating capacity of Bryant Denny Stadium. This is miniscule.

What are these people like? Are they bitter old white men? Are they twenty-somethings who still live in their parents’ basement and frequent Internet porn sites? Do they meet once a month and chant their racist and anti-Semitic slogans in some farmer’s cornfield? I really don’t know.

What I do know is that they’re not major causes of trouble such as violence, damaging property and injuring people. Other groups such as ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter do those sorts of things.

Yes, a possible white supremacy group demonstrated in Charlottesville the weekend of 8/11 and 8/12. Are they planning other demonstrations, particularly soon? I’m hearing that’s a possibility. Are these folks transitioning from a bunch of misfits, who possibly visit Internet porn sites, and possibly chant racist and anti-Semitic slogans once a month in cornfields, to violent demonstrators who clash with liberal hate groups such as Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA?

If this is indeed happening, it’s all the fault of liberals in the United States of America and their hate groups. And let’s not forget the mainstream media.  Liberals are responsible for bringing these white supremacy groups to the forefront. Liberals, who are about nothing but hate and have as their goal the destruction of the United States of America are the ones who are elevating groups such as ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter to heroes because these groups, in the name of combating racism, are opposing a minuscule and rather silent, but dangerous segment of the United States population.

Liberals hate the middle class and seek to destroy it. They don’t want low energy prices, they don’t want lower taxes, they don’t want the United States to be a rich, prosperous nation. And they certainly don’t want those citizens who have worked hard to have a little money in the bank or in their portfolios to continue to prosper. They want to destroy those folks, because somewhere in their deranged minds, if you have worked hard and have a little something set aside, you must have cheated to get it, you must have stepped on someone else. Therefore, what you have must be taken away from you.

As of this writing, a “Freedom of Speech” rally was held in Boston, this past Saturday, 8/19/2017. The group holding the rally stated that they were not affiliated with the KKK in any way. From the news reports that have come out, the liberal hate group, ANTIFA came out to counter the freedom of speech rally. ANTIFA counter protesters significantly outnumbered the “Freedom of Speech,” marchers, labeled as a conservative group by the press, including Fox Cable News. It was also revealed that the ANTIFA counter protesters were responsible for the violent acts against the “Freedom of Speech” folks and law enforcement who were there to maintain order.

Whether these “Freedom of Speech” marchers were affiliated with the Klan or other white supremacy  groups, I don’t know. But these groups are not necessarily visible to the American public. They haven’t occupied “news time” in the last few years like the terrorist hate group, Black Lives Matter, has. But the left, in their hatred for anyone who does not toe their line, including their hatred for President Trump and his supporters, may have lit a match under a “powder keg,” unlocking what was once a “below the radar” group. Thus, continuing to divide the United States of America, in hopes of destroying this great country, the country who gave them the freedoms to express their philosophies on how we should govern ourselves, the country who gave them the right to dissent, something they now consider patriotic, but declared racist when Barack Obama was president.

As I have previously indicated in my writings, when an alleged white supremacy group is involved, it is the crimes and actions of the white nationalist group that must be condemned. If groups such as ANTIFA or Black Lives Matter are involved, they cannot be mentioned because, according to the left, and some on the right, if the purpose of ANTIFA/BLM is to counter the white supremacy or neo-Nazi group, they are acting for a noble and holy cause. Forget the fact that both ANTIFA and BLM have histories of violence.

Yes, forget the above facts because liberals don’t care about facts, nor do they care about the truth.

LIBERAL ADMISSION, THEY WON’T DEBATE

The following meme, from Liberal Identity, appeared on my Facebook newsfeed.

liberalIdentityPhoto

The creator of this meme indicated what he or she stood for as a liberal and even admitted to being one of those liberal elites.

There is one point, point eight, in which I agree. Safety nets are needed because we are a civilized country with our roots based on Judeo-Christian principles. As individuals, Jesus has instructed to help those who are less fortunate than we are. However, we should never become a nation that allows people to die in the streets from hunger, exposure, and/or disease. While I have been involved in debates between conservatives and liberals regarding just what kind of safety nets we should provide and can afford, I know of no conservative who is against any type of safety nets provided by the government.

Okay, fine, this liberal is admitting his or her beliefs and they are diametrically opposite to mine and to most who call themselves conservatives. Everyone has the right to their opinions and I’m certainly not going to belittle someone for expressing their views in the manner that the “tolerant” left does.

Eyeball down to the bottom of the meme where this liberal has indicated that he or she does not wish to debate these points, and that he or she will never change their view on these issues. Never say never, your views can change. While I’ve always leaned conservative, there was a time when I considered myself a moderate Republican. Not anymore, though.

It’s highly unusual, and many conservatives will back me up, to bring a liberal into a debate on the issues. They can’t win and they know it. So, instead, they hurl accusations of racism, homophobia, xenophobia, misogyny, and other stuff at you. They accuse you of hating the poor if you question the efficiency of an entitlement program. If you disagree with Barak Obama’s policies, you’re called a racist, even though you didn’t belittle the president because of his skin color. If you believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman, you’re a homophobe. If you believe in school choice and question anything related to the public schools and public school teachers, you are against education and hate teachers.

I used to think it was something about me that made liberals want to hurl insults at me. I soon, though, realized that it wasn’t me. Everyone who attempts to have a debate with a liberal on the issues has insults hurled at them. Many conservatives give up, and that’s unfortunate.

The “tolerant” left needs to be reminded constantly that there are different viewpoints out there. They also need to be reminded that debate, including freedom of speech and freedom of expression are rights of citizenship bestowed upon us by our creator and solidified in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Plus, the worse the names they can call you, the more classless they appear.

I’ve expressed my angst regarding liberals’ refusal to debate the issues, and preferring to make themselves even more unattractive with their insults. I started using the phrase, “tolerant” left months ago, being sarcastic, of course. Since I started using it in my writings, I have heard Bill O’Reilly use it a time or two. I wonder which one of us coined it first.

We didn’t learn anything new about liberals today. Instead, we now have it from the “horse’s mouth.” Liberals are admitting that they refuse to respect differing points of view, much less debate their points of view. It’s their way or the highway. Furthermore, they have indicated they prefer to live in a totalitarian state.

According to dictionary.com, liberal means the following:

  • Favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs.
  • Noting or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of progressive political reform.
  • Of, pertaining to, based on, or advocating liberalism, especially the freedom of the individual and governmental guarantees of individual rights and liberties.
  • Favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, especially as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties.
  • Favoring of permitting freedom of action, especially with respect to matters of personal belief of expression.

Liberals, you certainly don’t favor any of the above concepts. In fact, under your own liberal admission, you are certainly not advocates of progressive political reform. Your philosophy dates back to when the planet consisted of kingdoms, ruled by kings, chosen by divine right.

Maybe you need to change what you call yourselves.

FREEDOMS LOST

GrowingUpFree

A week or so ago, I shared the above meme on my personal FB page, and had a couple of folks to take issue with it.

As you can see, it is a picture of an elderly couple who is supporting Donald Trump because they grew up in a free America and want the same for their grand kids. Issue was taken because it was felt that while America was a free country that freedom wasn’t granted to everyone, particularly people of color, women, homosexuals, immigrants, etc. And those groups are still fighting for equality and justice.

The couple in this meme look to be in their mid-seventies to early eighties, making them born somewhere around 1940. I’m well aware that women weren’t give the right to vote until 1920, that civil rights legislation was not passed until 1964, and the majority of women held the traditional women’s occupations of nurse, school teacher, secretary, housewife, etc. until things began expanding for women in the early seventies.

Whenever someone, especially someone white, expresses a desire to turn back the hands of time, liberals and those who lean left consider that person a racist, sexist, homophobic because they long for a time when certain groups didn’t have the rights and privileges they have today. That is most likely not the case and to assume so is stereotyping.

Over my lifetime, we, as Americans, have lost freedoms. Because these freedoms have been lost over time, most people don’t notice. Furthermore, when we’re asked to give up a freedom, we are told that it’s no big deal, just give us this one little tiny thing and we won’t ask for anything else.

A major freedom that Americans have lost is the right to live without health insurance. With the advent of Obamacare, individuals are now required to purchase health insurance or pay a fine. Never before had the federal government required its citizens to purchase something. Because so many Americans cannot afford the sky-rocketing health insurance premiums, they’ve lost the freedom to seek medical attention should they get sick. While it certainly isn’t wise to go without health insurance, even for a minute, we no longer have that freedom. In addition to the above, many of us who are paying exorbitant healthcare premiums, no longer have the freedom to spend a substantial amount our money as we wish. There are some things that I need and some things that I want. But because of Obamacare, I’m having to pay so much for health insurance and healthcare, that I’m not able to purchase some of these things.

Those who settled in America, coming from Europe, sought freedom from religious persecution. Up until recently, we did have freedom to practice our religion or to not practice a religion, even though this country was founded on Judeo Christian principles. We’re currently witnessing people being forced to choose between their jobs and their faith. That’s an abomination. And Hillary Clinton has opined that the American people are going to have to alter their beliefs to fit within the laws this government has passed and plans to pass.

While the first amendment is still in force, freedom of speech and expression have been expotentially diminished, particularly over the last 7-1/2 years. This past Saturday afternoon, a star running back on my football team took the ball and scampered a substantial distance to a touchdown in a hostile stadium. After scoring the touchdown, the young man, displayed the palm of his gloved hand, containing an ‘A’ for Alabama, to a Tennessee fan sitting on the front row of the end zone. The announcers questioned whether that was over-doing it, and there have been many threads on social media and other forums discussing this. Some people were indicating that as long as the player didn’t touch the fan, it was okay, but still showed lack of class. Chances are, when you are in an event arena containing over 100,000 humans and one mangy blue tic hound, you’re going to get touched. Twenty-five years ago, this would not have been an issue.

Today, you can’t have an opinion differing from that of the “tolerant” left without being harassed and called names.

The Obama administration has also been hinting that some sort of government controlled truth squad should be established to filter the news that’s transmitted to the public. When I started this blog 2-1/2 years ago, I knew that I would be denigrated by the left for my views because it was happening to all conservatives, with some on the left calling for an end to the broadcasts of such folks as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Some time ago, a friend said to me, “Nancy, you say you don’t let what people say to you and write about you, bother you; but I think it bothers you more than you’re willing to admit.” Shouldn’t I have the right to express my opinion without harassment and fear?

I could write a book on lost freedoms, those the elderly couple in the meme probably had in mind. However, the theme of the person who took issue with this meme seemed to want to stress the point that America was a bad country and had been taught that in school, and somehow this meme was racist, homophobic, xenophobic, and misogynistic. Have I left something out?

This country was founded less than 250 years ago by people seeking a better life than they had under European rule. The visions our founding fathers had for this country had never been tried before. When the United States of America was established, there was no other country on earth like it. While I certainly believe the creators of this nation were aided by God, they were also mere mortals. Being an experiment like no other, it’s absolutely unreasonable to think that as this nation grew, mistakes weren’t going to be made, that some old world tendencies and practices wouldn’t be ported over to the new world. America was not the first country or culture to practice slavery. America was also not the first country to round people up, drive them from their homes, and place them on reservations or in internment camps. If you think that women had the right to vote in the old world, I got some swamp land in Louisiana in which you might be interested.

Because the United States of America was established as a free nation, we had put in a mechanism whereby our wrongs could be righted. Through the power of the first amendment, people were allowed to speak their mind, protest, and use the press to bring about change, and that’s just what happened.

If you look at how old civilization is, from a Biblical standpoint, this world is over 6,000 years old. This nation was only created about 240 years ago. In that short period of time, the USA has become the greatest nation on earth. Sure there are other free countries out there, but they copied us.

Slavery was eliminated in 1865, women were given the right to vote in 1920, plus civil rights legislation was passed in 1964. Forty-four years or one generation after the Civil Rights bill was passed, America elected its first black president. Even though I don’t agree with him on one thing and don’t care for him, he was elected by a majority of the American people, and just a mere 44 years after the barriers were lifted.

The older couple in the meme feels that if Hillary Clinton is elected president more of our freedoms will be lost. I agree with them. Freedom of speech and freedom to bear arms are being attacked, along with religious freedom. I agree with the message that is being conveyed by the meme.

THE NOVEL, 1984: ARE WE THERE? – PART TWO

In part one of my 1984 series, I wrote about the ever-present “thought police” in Mr. Orwell’s novel, discussing similarities in today’s hate crimes’ legislation and operations of the thought police in trying to get into everyone’s head to determine thought because independent thought was not allowed and severely punished when caught.

Another similarity arises with racism. Liberals were changing, and still do change the definition of racism to fit their needs of the moment.

After having been called a racist so many times by the left because I didn’t agree with President Barak Obama’s policies, I became fed up and challenged liberals to find a place in my writings where I have besmirched this president because of his skin color. Of course, there’s not any in my writings.

Infuriated because they have been caught making accusations that they can’t back up (or are they?), they come up with a new way of labeling you a racist. They tell you that you, along with every other white person has an “insidious” racist gene inside of them. And while you may not act like a racist or say racist statements, you are still a racist. Liberals will even tell you that they have that gene also. Because they are enlightened, they feel they must fight their racist tendencies on an ongoing basis. When they slip up, such as a liberal woman clutching her purse just a little bit tighter when meeting a group of strutting young black men on the sidewalk, they are simply devastated with themselves.

The following is taken from a liberal thread I was on several months ago:

**********

Accuser: “Hi Nancy, racist much?”

Me: “You have opened a floodgate. I’m sick and fed up with liberals accusing me and other conservatives of racism just because we don’t support the policies and ideologies of Barak Obama. For over two years, I have been the owner and administrator of a political website/blog, and my political writings are out there for all to see.  Unless you can point to something I’ve said or written where I’ve disparaged or denigrated Barak Obama or anyone else with respect to skin color, I strongly suggest that you not hurl the racism accusation at me or anyone else.”

Accuser: “Nancy, your attitude and reaction continue to show everyone except yourself that you harbor racism. Try not to let that be a button so easily pushed. BTW, I am also prejudiced and racist. I know this to be true even as I resist it intellectually. Las Saturday as I walked on mile in downtown (American city) after a concert with my wife, I feared the area we were in and my concern was focused on the black folks around me. I wasn’t disturbed by the two white skate boarders that came right by us…could have easily grabbed my wife’s purse. I hated my thoughts that night hand have pondered it since, I admit that I have work to do. I understand that I bring prejudice to the table. And I think to myself, “If I am willing to apply these thoughts to the reality of the situation…for safety’s sake, what much more minor prejudice do I carry without knowing it. Exposing it is necessary to fixing it. You just don’t see it, we do.”

Me: “So, you’re one of those who claims we’re all racists and should cry ourselves to sleep at night after giving ourselves 20 lashes. I’ll go a little broader and say that we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. As a conservative writer, I’ve been accused of racism so much because I don’t agree with Barak Obama politically, that I’ve had enough and I don’t put up with it any longer. You’re not the first person I’ve said this to and I’m sure you won’t be the last.”

Accuser: “And…based on your website, you’re been called racist twice. Look it up. You wrote it. Not counting this one, of course.”

Me: “Is this the paragraph, you’re referring to? ‘Recently, I confronted two liberals online; one directly accused me of racism and the other shared a meme which indicated that white Christians hated President Obama and the first family because of the color of their skin. The liberal who directly accused me of racism apologized, but then turned things around and appeared to indirectly imply that I was a racist. Oh, I’ve been called a racist directly and indirectly more than just two times. Besides, how many times have liberal political commentators and other well knowns called those who didn’t support Obama racists or accused them of racism? If this is needed the paragraph, I don’t know how you could ascertain that I’ve only been called a racist twice, but obviously, you did. It won’t be the first time I’ve been misunderstood and it won’t be the last. Also I’ve been called much more than a racist by those on the left. Some of the things, I refuse to put in print.’”

Accuser: “Maybe boiling it down will help, especially you wrote on your site that you want people to use a valid example when calling you a racist. You aren’t going to judge a white woman negatively due to how she said something in her spouse’s nomination party speech. But, you immediately judge and convict a black woman due to how she said something in her spouse’s nomination party speech. Except to remember two things she did wrong (that in your mind were anti-white racism.) These are exactly the same mistake…one you readily dismiss as unintentional; only a few phrases out of 15 minutes. The other person you condemn for all eternity, except to remember only the things she did that were wrong/unworthy. She just happens to be the black one. I did another quick search of your site. You’re also a label-jacker…carrying the flag of all lives matter to misdirect, denigrate or water down the POC’s desire to bring focus to what is likely a long-term oppressive situation. You wouldn’t go to a breast cancer rally and shout that all cancers matter. But you’ll write about the racial version over and over and over on your site. Just trying to help. If you don’t see that you may carry prejudice in your heart or mind, I wish I could help you. I can extend my love to you, however. I hope you find some peace and some ability to care for all others, not just the ones that matter to you now. I wasn’t saying you were called a racist twice. I was saying, ‘wow.’ You’ve been called a racist twice and you still don’t think you should ponder that even a tiny bit?”

**********

Get my drift? I have never met or talked with my above accuser in my life. Yet, this person is accusing me of things for which he has no proof. He says he identifies with me because he is a racist too. This sounds a lot like the guy who was administering the torture to the main character, Winston Smith, in 1984, the novel. He would accuse Winston of things and further indicate that he was once guilty of the same things, except he had been cured. The torturer also expressed his love for Winston and just wanted to show him the right way.

While certainly no imprisonment or torture is involved here, the above serves to illustrate how the left considers themselves intellectually superior to everyone else and capable of gleaning what’s inside a person’s head when that person says or does something the left doesn’t like or disagrees with. Sounds a lot like the “inner party” in 1984.

Previously conservatives were scared of being called racists and would generally grovel on the floor begging not to be labeled a racist. Now, some are getting bolder and insisting that their accusers actually prove their accusations. By constantly enforcing their demented theory that every white person has that insidious racist gene inside of them, and must consciously and intellectually make attempts to purge themselves of that gene or certainly diminish that gene, constitutes brainwashing in my book. And that’s what happened throughout the the novel, 1984.

In the 1984 novel, the ever present “thought police” worked toward getting into the heads of the “outer party” members to determine if they were having illegal independent thoughts. Actions and facial expressions during constant surveillance were used to determine a party member’s thoughts. A smile, a laugh, a grimace, a frown, were all used in determining what was inside a person’s head. This sounds like the left’s “buzz words” or “code words” for racism, which leads into the next article in this series.

THE NOVEL, 1984: ARE WE THERE? PART ONE

Perhaps it was required reading for you at some point when you were in school. Are you a child of the sixties who felt that nothing like that could ever happen in America? Or, you a child of the nineties who thinks that we’re not there yet, but could be in a decade or so? Or, are you someone like me, a conservative, who liberals often refer to as an unenlightened oaf. Are you thinking that many aspects of George Orwell’s novel, published in the 1940s, reflects the times we’re living in now?

I read 1984 when I was in Junior High School and didn’t get much out of it because I was really too young to understand governments and social norms. It seemed so far-fetched from the time we were currently living in. I read it again in the year, 1984 and understood it much better. As a young adult and somewhat of a political person, I knew that we were a long way from the culture depicted in Mr. Orwell’s novel. However, I could see it maybe coming to fruition sometime in the twenty-first century.

Fast-forward to the twenty-first century where the United States has elected the most far left president in its 200 plus year history. The mainstream media is in the tank for him and often resorts to blatant lies to push his agenda.

The novel, 1984 was authored by English writer, George Orwell and published in 1949. It is set in a country called Airstrip One which was formerly Great Britain. Airstrip One is a province of the super state, Oceania. Oceania is in a world of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, and public manipulation, dictated by a political system named, English Socialist, Ingsoc, for short. Oceania is controlled by “the party,” who is headed up by “Big Brother,” who may or may not exist. The party seeks power for its own sake and is not interested in the common good of others.

After reading the novel, in its entirety, and researching the writings of others who might think like me, I was unable to find a writing of any substance which paralleled my thoughts on how we’re living in a culture with similarities to the 1984 culture.

The telescreen is omnipresent all through the novel. It is a device that is strategically position so that every party member can be watched at all times. While there are certain hiding places where one can go to avoid being seen by the powers at be, if one continues to go into hiding for a period of time that is “too lengthy,” the telescreen and the powers behind it will address that person, telling him or her to move to a place where they can be seen. If that person fails to comply, the “thought police” will arrest that person, taking him or her to various torture chambers where that person is whipped, beaten, and brainwashed into submission.

Because independent thought is forbidden on Airstrip One and probably throughout Oceania, the “thought police” are ever present in an effort to determine what thoughts a party member may have. Facial twitches, excessive laughter, scowls, smiles, etc. will serve to indicate that a member’s inner thoughts may be detrimental to the goals of the party.

In other words, the thought police are trying to get into your head and determine what you are thinking. Of course any independent thought will lead to unspeakable things happening to the person guilty of independent thought.

Does this remind you of “hate crime” laws, implemented during the latter part of the twentieth century? The crime of murder is worse if you kill them because of the color of their skin, their ethnicity, their religion, etc. Thus, prosecutors try to get into the murder’s head, try to determine the motivation for the killing. Was the murder out to kill someone just because he or she wanted to kill someone? Or was the murder committed because the perpetrator hated the victim’s skin color, ethnicity, religion, etc.? How do you know, how can you tell?

In 1984, the thought police had a free reign over party members. Anyone they suspected of independent thoughts was imprisoned and subject to torture and brainwashing.

They were trying to get into heads. Same thing, in this day and age. The left, the implementers of hate crime legislation, are trying to get into your head, trying to extract your thoughts, even though no credible way to do that exists.

Moving right along, consider the fact that anyone can be accused of racism by the left at any time and for any reason. And if the left can’t point to something you have said or written where you have besmirched someone because of skin color or ethnicity, they tell you that because you are white, you have that insidious racist gene inside you that must be purged from you by whatever means necessary. I’ve seen this time and time again in the last eight years. Sadly, as the left continues this diatribe against white people and continues to promote the white privilege farce, people will begin to believe their virulent regurgitations.

That’s what was happening in 1984. Subjects were bombarded with lies from Big Brother and the upper party, that they soon came to believe the lies, after being submitted to torture and brain washing. Politicians lie, the media lies. They say if you lie about something enough, it becomes the truth.

The above is just one area in which we can compare our culture to that in the novel, 1984. Additional articles will be published soon.
