ALL EYES ON ALABAMA

No matter what part of the country you’re from, you probably know about the Senate election in Alabama, taking place on Tuesday, December 12, to replace former Senator, now Attorney General, Jeff Sessions. The election is between Republican, Roy Moore and Democrat, Doug Jones.

Just after the primary and run-off were complete, accusations of sexual misconduct were leveled against Judge Moore by numerous women, none of which have been proven.

I’ll be as glad as anyone when this election is over. And I still have a question to ask. If these women felt that Roy Moore was unfit to become a U.S. Senator, why didn’t they speak up during the primaries? If all this had come up during the primary, I don’t believe Judge Moore would have won the nomination. Also, some of these women are claiming they fear for their lives. I don’t believe this would have happened had all this come out in the primaries. The nomination would have gone to Luther Strange or Mo Brooks. Either one of the candidates would have beaten Democrat Doug Jones easily. But waiting until Moore had already captured the nomination speaks of a plan to get a Democrat elected to further narrow the Republican majority in the Senate.

Some try to say that these women were too embarrassed to come out earlier even though Judge Moore has run for numerous elected positions and has been a public figure in Alabama for almost two decades. Did these women suddenly feel invigorated once Judge Moore won the Republican nomination? Could they not have come out just a couple of months earlier if they were so concerned about him getting elected? One of the women making the accusations trotted out Gloria Allred as her attorney. Gloria Allred is nothing but a celebrity ambulance chaser. I call her a “lawyer for losers.”

It’s only been in the last twenty years or so that the Democrat party has moved so far to the left and begun to resort to lies, bigotry, hate, intolerance. Doug Jones has ads out there which claim that he is pro-military, pro-business, pro-gun ownership. In the past, there have been Democrats that were all of these things. But now, with few exceptions, they’re all borderline socialists/communists. Also, Democrats used to cross the aisle and work with Republicans on many issues. It was Tip O’Neil who worked with President Reagan to get tax cuts passed in the eighties.

Perhaps, if the Democrat party was more like the party it was in the mid to late twentieth century, having one elected Senator from Alabama wouldn’t scare so many of us. Also, if the Democrats were willing to discuss issues instead of hurling unfounded accusations at whom they don’t agree, folks might not be scared to vote for and elect one. Maybe if they had accepted the result of President Trump’s election and had worked with him on issues such as health care and tax reform, we might not be scared to elect a Democrat to office. Furthermore, if they were willing to discuss climate change and address the many scientists who have indicated that it doesn’t exist or that it’s not man made, instead of declaring that anyone who doesn’t accept man made climate change is a moron and deserves to be punished, electing a Democrat might not scare us to the extent that it does. oss the aisle and work with Republicans on many issues. So, dems, what do you think? In your possible zeal to destroy the Trump presidency, you may have ruined some lives in the process. But wait, Democrats don’t care if they ruin people’s lives.

No matter who is elected, conservatives in Alabama will take a beating. If Roy Moore wins, we will be the recipients of exponential hate from liberals across the nation, not to mention the liberals who reside in Alabama. I’ve always said that liberals here in the south are particularly filled with unfathomable hate because they are in the minority. Insults to the degree that we’ve never seen before will be hurled at us. It’s going to get rough, so fasten your seat belts.  I can just hear what Mika and Morning Joe (I’m embarrassed that he’s a University of Alabama graduate) will be saying, what Don Lemmon will be saying, what Rachel Maddow will be saying, what Chris Matthews will be saying, etc.

If Doug Jones wins, conservatives in Alabama will still be subject to hate and gloating from the leftists here in the state. We can handle it, because we’re used to it. However, the slim Republican majority in the Senate will get even slimmer, making it harder for President Trump to pass his “make America great again” agenda. As a result, the entire nation will suffer.

God has placed a heavy burden on the state of Alabama, a state that Democrat Senatorial candidate, Doug Jones, admits to being embarrassed to “be from.” Will the people of the state of Alabama come through and elect Republican, Roy Moore, so that President Trump will have a chance to make America great again? Or will the people of Alabama elect Doug Jones, liberal Democrat, and perhaps send the United States of America on a collision course to socialism/communism?

A VIEW OF THE SOUTH FROM OUTSIDERS

Southerners are Trained to be the Helpers, an article posted yesterday on al.com, authored by Leslie Anne Tarabella highlights the outside media’s, particularly the left-wing media’s surprise at how people are helping people in southeast Texas and Louisiana during and in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

According to this article, Norah O’Donnell, a CBS correspondent, originally from Texas, was not surprised by the overwhelming kindness being shown by the Texas people and even those living outside the state of Texas who are rushing up to help anyway they can. However, back in New York City, anchors were marveling at the willingness and bravery of people showing up to help total strangers.

I don’t know whether to be happy or frustrated about this article. It’s no secret that folks outside the south have consistently looked down their noses at the south, although, they don’t hesitate to visit down here to enjoy our food, our weather, and our many tourist attractions.

Liberals, both those from outside the south and from inside the south (we do have liberals down here), have made the south their “whipping boy.” We go to church, listen to country music, watch sports, particularly football, own guns, and vote Republican. While we’re everything the left hates, the left doesn’t hesitate to hurl unfounded accusations at us and direct it’s hate toward us.

Are the likes of Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brezinski, Don Lemmon, etc. appalled at what’s going on in southeast Texas and Louisiana. I’m convinced they are. But, but, but, aren’t those people conservatives, Republicans, aren’t they against same-sex marriage? They disliked Obama and put Donald Trump in office. They’re evil people, but here we see them helping each other with factors such as skin color and socio-economic status not on the radar. How can this be?

Houston isn’t the first place where folks have come together in troubled times. Tornado outbreaks are common down south. After one occurs, “men with chainsaws” appear from all over waiting anxiously to get at those fallen limbs. In fact, once in a while, guys with chainsaws have had to be turned away because there were already enough volunteers to get the job done.

As I write this, away from the disaster site, churches, municipalities, and other philanthropic organizations are gathering supplies to send to the devastated areas to help. In the months to come, many trips will be made to southeast Texas where volunteers will continue to work tirelessly to make a difference in people’s lives.

To the liberal media and to liberals, in general, what are you so surprised about? This is normal, this is way we do things down here. Race, religion, skin color, nationality, education level, etc. are non-factors, not even thought about during times like this. And yet, you continue to berate folks like us, folks who voted for President Trump, folks you call racists, bigots, sexists, homophobes, xenophobes, haters, Islamophobic, etc.

Can I expect any of you elitists to change your minds about us after what you have witnessed in Texas? Of course not! You will continue spread your hate and vitriol toward anyone who does not agree with you politically, especially President Trump and his supporters.

How do you folks handle disasters? “Don’t tell us how you do it up north, cause we don’t care.” (From the song, Snowbird Season, written and performed by singer/songwriter, Brent Burns).

THOUGHT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT DEMOCRATS

A liberal Facebook friend posted the following quotes from Senator Bernie Sanders, Socialist, from Vermont recently.

  • Democracy is one person, one vote, and a full discussion of the issues that affect us.
  • Oligarchy is billionaires buying elections, voter suppression, and a concentrated corporate media determining what we see, hear, and read.

Notwithstanding the fact that socialist, Bernie Sanders, said the above, why would a liberal want to post this? I’m confused. Or maybe they’re being truthful. A liberal being truthful? How oxymoronic is that?

Liberals certainly are not in favor of one person, one vote. They’re all against voters having to show a proper ID to  vote. So it’s obvious that they’re okay with anyone being able to vote anywhere and vote as many times as they want to vote.

Liberals in favor of full discussions on the issues? That is so laughable. How many times have you tried to have a reasonable discussion with a liberal and failed. If you try to have an online discussion with one, they won’t read what you have to say. Sometimes I wonder if they’re just too stupid to read and comprehend. But then they claim they’re so smart since most since most of your educators are liberal. A little over a year ago, I had a back and forth with a PHD who did not appear to read what I was saying and failed to respond, in what I considered, an intelligent manner. Instead, this woman started accusing me of things that all liberals accuse conservatives of when they are backed into a corner and can’t win the argument. Furthermore, they change the subject and accuse you of racism, sexism, and every other ‘ism’ they can think of in hopes of putting you on the defensive so that you will forget the real issue at hand. There is only one liberal that I have been able to have a reasonable discussion with in the last several years, a guy that I used to work with. Liberals are definitely not into having an open dialog on the issues.

Liberals love to trash the Koch brothers, but in addition to being unable to comprehend what they read, they also have bad memories. Remember when liberal billionaire George Soros said that he would spend every penny he owned to see that George Bush was not re-elected president in 2004? I do, but the liberals can’t. I have spent many hours in the past twelve years raising money for Alzheimer’s research. Hopefully my efforts will make a real difference. It would also be great if my efforts will help liberals to remember things.

When it comes to voter suppression, I’d like the liberals or anyone for that matter to provide me a list of people who attempted to vote and were not allowed to vote and the reason they were not allowed to vote in any of the elections since 2000. In 2000, I had a liberal friend to tell me that hundreds of thousands of people in the state of Florida were not allowed to vote in that year’s presidential election. She further informed me that these folks were  black and would have voted for Al Gore. I told her that if this were so, please get me a list of 500 who weren’t allowed to vote. Surely there was a list somewhere. If you’re going to make an allegation such as that, you’re going to have to back it up. After several prompts to check on the status of her obtaining the list I requested, she never was able to produce a list. Why? Because her allegations just weren’t true. There may have been a problem with a handful of voters, but her allegation of hundreds of thousands was just not true. Of course, I realize that the definition of voter suppression is like the definition of racism. It’s what the liberals want it to be at a particular time. And it’s subject to change at all times with intervals as short as maybe one hour. Voter suppression could be defined as a voter accidently going to the wrong voting place and not being allowed to vote there and having to drive a few extra miles to the correct voting place. Again, it’s whatever the liberals want it to be defined as.

However, you can bet your first born child on this. If there’s a close election where the Republican candidate is barely edging out the Democrat candidate, there will be some ballots found in the trunk of a car somewhere and after those ballots are counted, the Democrat candidate will have come out on top.

With regard to concentrated media determining what we hear, see, and read; just who has demanded that Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and other conservative media be silenced? The Democrats, of course! I have never known of a conservative to demand that MSNBC, Chris Matthews, Dan Rather, Rachel Maddow, etc. be silenced. I, along with other conservatives believe in freedom of speech and freedom of the press. But how many times have we heard liberals calling for the silencing of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, etc. The liberals have the big three networks, most of the major newspapers in the country, CNN, NPR, MSNBC, and some talk radio. Talk about concentrated media.

Get a grip, liberals; take a look at yourselves! You don’t support one person, one vote. You don’t support reasonable discussions of the issues. You have your billionaires throwing their money around in order to influence elections, and you control the majority of the media.

But who am I kidding; liberals aren’t capable reading and comprehending. With all of those academic elites out there, it seems strange, doesn’t it?
