ANALYSIS OF A LIBERAL RANT

I was the only conservative participant on a liberal thread that lasted for approximately three days. And yes, I was piled upon. But what else is new? One of entries read as follows:

“This whole thread is one of the best examples I could show of the stubborn, stick-your-head-in-the-sand, I’m going to stick to my rhetoric even though it hurts me mindset of the average conservative. They will blindly follow a leader who will pass legislation that is against their economic and social interests—and praise him for doing so. They will apply a double-standard and call it even-handed. They will listen to complete idiots, regurgitate what they hear, and refuse to think for themselves. They will tie themselves in knots trying to make things sound like equivalencies when there are, in fact, no parallels. And then they will call it God’s will.”

Typical liberal rant? I’d say so.

Of course, this person was referring to me. I was called stubborn and accused of sticking my head in the sand. In other words, I have my belief system and convictions in place. Because, I’m a bit mystified by the next phrase, “I’m going to stick to my rhetoric even though it hurts me mindset,” I’m going to skip over it and assume it has something to do with my stubbornness and sticking my head in the sand.

The author of this liberal rant further says that conservatives will blindly follow a leader who will pass legislation that it against their economic and social interests and then praise them for doing so. If I recall, candidate Donald Trump was a joke to many Republicans upon announcing his run for the presidency. In fact, he was to me. He wasn’t my first choice as the Republican nominee.

Upon his winning of the nomination, I supported him. No way was I going to support Hillary Clinton. As I’ve written many times, I had concerns about Donald Trump because Trump was a businessman who had never worked in the public sector. The public and private sectors are two “different animals.” I wasn’t sure that businessman, Donald Trump, who always got what he wanted within the confines of his business, would adapt to the public sector where getting things done takes time and opposition is forever present. While most Republicans by election day had boarded the “Trump train,” there were holdouts. In summary, some people supported Donald Trump from the day he announced his run. As candidate Trump campaigned, more and more Republicans cast their fates with Donald Trump. The author of the subject liberal rant said conservatives blindly follow. Doesn’t sound like blind following to me. In fact, Republicans often disagree on issues. It’s the Democrats who blindly follow their leaders, especially Barack Hussein Obama, like sheep being led to the slaughter house. I labeled Obama supporters, “Obama zombies” because of their blind loyalty in supporting everything he did and their attitude that Barack Obama could do no wrong.

This commenter didn’t stop there, he/she extended the “blindly follow a leader” sentence to insinuate that even though legislation passed by the leader they follow blindly is not in their best interests, they follow that leader anyway. A common characteristic of most liberals is that think they know what’s better for you than you do. Excuse me, but I don’t think you do.

“They will apply a double-standard and call it even-handed:” The commenter is probably referring to my citing that after the Obama wins, liberals were saying, “Get over it, you lost, we don’t care what you think, we’re going to do what we’re going to do.” I don’t think I’ve uttered this directly to any liberals, but I have not hesitated to remind them of what they said to us following the 2008 and 2012 elections. I’ve also reminded liberals that they called people who were not Obama supporters and did not support his policies racists. Fast-forward to 2016 and they’re now saying that descent is okay. And of course, it is. But when Republicans do it, it is somehow racists or un-American, but when Democrats do it, it’s okay.

Indicating that conservatives will listen to complete idiots and regurgitate what they hear, refusing to think for themselves is utter nonsense. I already touched on this portion of this liberal rant. Conservatives/Republicans often have differences because they are thinking for themselves.

“They will tie themselves in knots trying to make things sound like equivalencies when there are, in fact, no parallels.” What things?

“And then they call it God’s will.” As those of you who regularly read my articles, I’m often mention God, along with my Christian faith. On this thread, I did indicate, that while I was disturbed at the path the United States seemed to be taking, I knew that God was in control. The mention of God to many liberals throws them into all sorts of conniptions.

I chose this liberal rant because it is vicious, but doesn’t use foul language. While I hope it amuses you, I also hope it will serve to give you fodder if you find yourself in a “discussion” with a liberal.

THE MORNING AFTER

I had better get busy with this article because even though it’s still the morning after, it’s getting close to being the “afternoon after.” I certainly didn’t expect Donald Trump to win the presidency. From all accounts and media outlets, including Fox News, Mr. Trump’s chances of winning were estimated to be slim to even none. He was drug through the mud like no political candidate had ever been. Some Democrats, including First Lady, Michelle Obama, were expressing utter shock at what he was overheard saying on the Access Hollywood tape, even though fowl-mouthed rapper Jay Z and his wife Beyoncé are included among those in the Obama inner circle.

In the short time I’ve been at my desk and perused social media, I have seen so much vitriol and hatred coming from Democrats directed at Donald Trump and his supporters. I’m also seeing some Democrats express disbelief that their gal, Hillary lost. “Oh, but she’s the smartest, most caring woman in the world.” Get real, she screws up everything she touches. Hey, Democrats, not everyone agrees with you. Here’s a list of things, not in any particular order.

  • Not everyone thinks government is all powerful, all loving, and always perfect. Some of us believe that the private sector does a lot of things much better than government and should be left to do so. That was one of the principles on which this country was founded, and many of us believe in this 240-year-old principle.
  • Not everyone thinks that it’s okay to kill the unborn just because carrying that child to term is inconvenient for the mother. Science has proven that upon conception that fertilized egg takes on human characteristics such as brain and heart activity.
  • Many of us respect the armed forces and feel that a strong military is necessary to the well-being of our nation and the safety of our citizens.
  • There are those of us who respect our nation’s local law enforcement. And while there are certainly “bad cops” out there, most our policemen and women are fine people who deserve our respect as they work from day to day to protect us from criminal activity and assist us when necessary.
  • We live in the last half of the second decade of the twenty-first century. Slavery ended in 1865 and additional civil rights legislation was pass over a half-century ago. While racism exists and continues to exist until Christ returns and sets up his 1000 year reign here on earth, most of us believe in and have worked to established equal opportunity, but realize that with equal opportunity, we cannot guarantee equal outcome.
  • Most of us believe that we have the right to exercise our freedom of speech, especially when it comes to holding our government officials accountable; and don’t like the way you have many hurled the “racist” accusation at those who have disagreed with the policies of the first black president, Barak Obama. You have also come up with the ridiculous notions that the American flag is racist, and that chanting “USA” is racist. It seems that whenever you can’t decide on what to call those with whom you disagree, you, with reckless abandon, just hurl the term racist. In fact, you make up the definition of racism to suit your needs of the moment. Again, many of us just don’t like that.
  • Many of us question the existence of man-made climate change, and there are many articles written by respected scientists who have refuted this theory. However, Democrats have consistently hurled insults and called those who didn’t agree with them unflattering names. Again, not everyone agrees with you on this issue and many of us were fearful of the ridiculous regulations that were being crammed down our throats in the name of climate change.
  • Many of us don’t agree with you in your efforts to soak the rich and screw over businesses. These are the entities who issue our paychecks. When our employers prosper, we, the middle class, tend to do better.
  • Most of us don’t want government-run healthcare. We warned if the dangers when the ACA was being crammed down our throats using every legislative trick in the book. Our nation’s healthcare system is a mess. Democrats this is your fault. You own it; lock, stock, and barrel. Now it looks like it will be up to the Republicans and the Trump administration to fix it. Thanks a lot, Dems!
  • Most of us want to win the war on Islamic terrorism and believe we need to define the problem in order to solve it. We believe that ISIS is the twenty-first century Third Reich and must be destroyed, and never allowed in this country.
  • Immigration: You Democrats have never acknowledged that there is a difference between legal and illegal immigration. When someone says they’re against illegal immigration, you make no distinction between legal and illegal and hurl the xenophobia accusation. We want illegal immigration diminished and feel that a wall on the Mexican border will go a long ways in solving this problem.
  • A lot of us would like to be able to defend ourselves from an attacker either before or after the police are called. We’d rather not have the police come, tag our dead bodies, and call the morgue to come and get us.
  • Most of us want to maintain Israel as a trusted ally. If fact, it’s necessary. God has indicated that he will punish those who turn their backs on Israel.

The above outlines many of the areas where the two major political parties disagree, and as I’ve been saying all along, liberals, Democrats, progressives, or whatever it is they want to call themselves these days can’t seem to believe that anyone could possibly have different view. And if they have different views, they’re stupid and evil. Furthermore, Democrats don’t appear to believe in free speech unless they agree with the speech.

I’ve been called a sore winner this morning, and that’s probably right. I want to lash out. I want to do the same things to Democrats that they did to me eight years ago and have continued to do to me and other conservatives since then. I’m a flawed individual, but grateful that those flaws have been paid for.

DO LIBERALS ACTUALLY THINK THEY’RE PERFECT?

We’ve heard these things a million times from liberals…Conservatives hate the poor, conservatives hate minorities/are racists, conservatives are bigots, conservatives stereotype, etc. But, liberals are as, if not more, guilty of these things than conservatives are.

A liberal friend once implied that I had no respect for differing points of view.

I turned it on her and said that was the pot calling the kettle black and that it was liberals that had no respect for views that differed from theirs. And it was the liberals that were the real racists, bigots, etc. This friend was taken aback. She obviously thought that since she was an avowed liberal and liberals accuse conservatives of the things I mentioned above, that she couldn’t possibly be any of the things that conservatives are.

Every now and then, the Dixie Chicks are brought up by liberals.

Their fan base, which was mainly comprised by southern conservatives, quit purchasing their CDs, quit going to their concerts, and quite listening to radio stations that played their music. And there were some folks that said mean-spirited things about them. However, President Bush, taking the high road, said that they had their right to express their opinions.

When a couple of liberals brought up the Dixie Chicks a couple of weeks ago on a forum, I indicated that the Dixie Chicks certainly had the right to express their opinions and that their fans also had the right to express themselves in not purchasing their music, going to their concerts, etc. Subsequently, I was told that it was about labeling, exaggeration, and distortion.

I replied that perhaps liberals should look inward. Was it okay to label someone who believed that marriage should be between one man and one woman a homophobe? Was it okay to label someone a racist because they disagreed with the Obama administration’s policies? Was it okay to label someone a bitter clinger because they believed in God and in the second amendment? I was then labeled close-minded and one that thought that Fox News was real news. I think I won that little back and forth. When liberals begin person attacks, it generally means that the conservative has pinned them to the wall.

Several months ago, I was on a liberal forum and suggested that, instead of name calling and insult hurling, that they might want to re-enforce their points of view with facts in hopes that you might be able to win someone over to their side. I then indicated that they probably wouldn’t win someone like me over. Being a political blogger, I’m secure in my political philosophy and am able to refute liberal facts. I guess I shouldn’t have typed in that last sentence. I was then called the usual litany of names. My bad.

Most liberals I know have an air of superiority about them and when their faults are pointed out, they get very angry. Most want God taken out of our society because they think they can establish heaven here on earth. As liberals they are perfect and can make things perfect for everyone. So, who needs God?

I’ve witnessed liberals indicating that conservatives are not Christians and are going to hell. Isn’t that being judgmental? Liberals are supposed to be “free thinkers.” Kind of live and let live and respectful of differences. And they’re anything but…

THANKSGIVING MESSAGE

There’s so much in the political world taking place and you can read all about it with just a few mouse clicks. Of course, we’re all on edge after the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, especially since ISIS has more or less, indicated that we’re next.

ISIS is going to strike us, I have no doubt. But we don’t know when. In making those threats, they know we’re right upon a widely celebrated American holiday, Thanksgiving. Throughout this long holiday weekend there are going to be many events taking place. There will be parades, sporting events, shopping, parties, and the list goes on. Many, many people will be taking to the streets for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. There are going to be so many sporting events taking place including, but not limited to the Iron Bowl that will take place in my home state of Alabama on the campus of Auburn University at Jordan-Hare Stadium. All of the malls will be open to Black Friday shoppers and those stupid enough to get in the fray (I’d rather be boiled in oil than go shopping on Black Friday). In addition to what I have mentioned, people will be traveling and going through our nation’s airports tomorrow, the biggest travel day of the year.

America’s mayor, Rudy Giuliani, is continuing to communicate the message he gave to the nation after the 9/11/2001 attacks. That message is don’t let those evil terrorists tamper with our traditional America celebrations. Stare down those evil ones who seek to disrupt our way of life. We have our way of live because our values are based on the Ten Commandments and Judeo/Christian principles and our capitalist economic system causes us to prosper like no other on the planet. Thus, we have beautiful shopping malls for those who wish to get in the fray can get in the fray on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We also have magnificent sporting events where over a million Americans gather to cheer their favorite teams onto victory. If you’re not lucky enough to have a ticket to your team’s event, you might choose to check out the many sports bars and restaurants to watch your game.

Bottom line is that millions of Americans are out and about on this glorious weekend where we give thanks to God for setting us down in or bringing us to this great country. While many of us disagree with what this administration is currently doing and sincerely believe that it’s the administration’s goal to destroy the United States of America as we know it, we’ll continue the fight to take back our country as we celebrate all of the wonderful things our country has to offer.

When my Mom and Dad were alive, Thanksgiving was always a big thing at our house. Often, we had family and friends over, but sometimes it was just the three of us. Mama and Daddy loved Thanksgiving and so do I. What’s not to live about a holiday where you get to eat wonderful food, but don’t have the stress of having to spend lots of money on gifts and worrying about getting the right gift for the right person? Eat, sleep, watch football, shop, etc. Who could ask for anything more?

In closing, I want to thank each and every one of you who have supported me as I continue to work to get my messages across to as many folks out there as possible. I hope each and every one of you have a joyous and happy Thanksgiving. I love you, I really do!

AMERICA’S MOST BIBLICALLY HOSTILE U.S. PRESIDENT

According to wallbuilder.com, the current president has singled out Catholics, Protestants, and Jews to attack over the course of his presidency. When his hostility toward Biblical people of faith is contrasted with his preferential treatment of Muslims and Muslim nations, it further strengthens the accuracy of the anti-Biblical descriptor. In fact, there have been numerous clearly documented times when his pro-Islam positions have been the cause of his anti-Biblical actions.

Below, I am listing records, according to wallbuilder.com, of his attacks on Biblical persons and organizations, examples of the hostility toward Biblical faith that have become evident in the past three years in the Obama-led military, a listing of his open attacks on Biblical values, and a listing of numerous incidents of his preferential deference for Islam’s activities and positions.

Acts of Hostility toward People of Biblical Faith:

  • December 2009 – Present: The annual White House Christmas cards, rather than focusing on Christmas or faith, instead highlight things such as the family dogs. And the White House Christmas tree ornaments include figures such as Mae Tse-Tung and a drag queen.
  • June 2013: The Obama Department of Justice defunds a Young Marines chapter in Louisiana because their oath mentioned God, and another youth program because it permits a voluntary student-led prayer.
  • February 2013: The Obama Administration announces that the rights of religious conscience for individuals will not be protected under the Affordable Care Act.
  • January 2013: Pastor Louie Giglio is pressured to remove himself from praying at the inauguration after it is discovered he once preached a sermon supporting the Biblical definition of marriage.
  • February 2012: The Obama Administration forgives student loans in exchange for public service, but announces it will no longer forgive student loans if the public service is related to religion
  • January 2012: The Obama Administration argues that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis.
  • December 2011: The Obama Administration denigrates other countries’ religious beliefs as an obstacle to radical homosexual rights.
  • November 2011: President Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt’s famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial.
  • November 2011: Unlike previous presidents, Obama studiously avoids any religious references in his Thanksgiving speech.
  • August 2011: The Obama Administration releases its new health care rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the areas of abortion and contraception.
  • April 2011: For the first time in American history, Obama urges passage of a non-discrimination law that does not contain hiring protections for religious groups, forcing religious organizations to hire according to federal mandates without regard to the dictates of their own faith, thus eliminating conscience protection in hiring.
  • February 2011: Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more than two years, Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress.
  • January 2011: After a federal law was passed to transfer an WWI Memorial in the Mojave Desert to private ownership, the U.S. Supreme Court rules that the cross in the memorial could continue to stand, but the Obama Administration refused to allow the land to be transferred as required by law, and refused to allow the cross to be re-erected as ordered by the Court.
  • November 2010: Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is “E pluribus unum” rather than “In God We Trust” as established by federal law.
  • October 19, 2010: Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about “the Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence, an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions.
  • May 2009: Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House.
  • April 2009: When speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus name be covered when he is making his speech.
  • April 2009: In a deliberate act of disrespect, Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three.
  • February 2009: Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protect for health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against their beliefs, and fully implements the plan in February 2011.
  • April 2008: Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying the “cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren’t like them.

In addition to the above, the current president appears very uncomfortable talking about Christianity, God, and faith. During the tenth anniversary celebration of 9/11, the president was reading scripture. Many of us grew up reading scripture and know there is a certain cadence to it. However Obama didn’t have that sense of cadence or rhythm at all. It’s like had never read scripture in his life. And again, he seemed very uncomfortable at the podium.

The next two posts will also be outlining evidence that the current president is uncomfortable with God, the Bible, and persons of faith.

In closing, I would like to thank wallbuilders.com for their remarkable research and documentation of facts that are so important to Christians as we traverse this rather wicked world.
