BLACK LIVES MATTER EXPLAINED

BLM

I shared the above meme from my personal Facebook page stating: “If Black Lives Really Mattered to You, You’d be Gunning Down Gang Bangers and Dope Dealers Instead of Cops.”

This was about the Black Lives Matter movement not hesitating to destroy property, injure people, destroy businesses, and interrupt people’s lives if someone black was shot (and killed) by a policeman, particularly a white policeman before an investigation of the incident could be completed, and the facts determined. However, when it comes to black on black crime, such as on the streets of Chicago and Detroit, the movement doesn’t seem to care, along with many blacks.

A FB friend took issue with me, indicating first that this was not how BLM worked, nor was this how the justice system worked. In the United States of America, innocence is assumed until proven guilty. However, BLM seems to be out there rioting and destroying before an investigation and trial can be conducted. While some of the BLM folks in certain incidents have indicated that they want to protest peacefully, they have generally never waited until the facts of the case were determined. Then there’s always those folks who never intended to protest peacefully, with their actions leading to property loss, bodily injury and total disruption.

This same individual also indicated that there had been no cases where the BLM movement has been charged or correctly accused of causing any physical harm to any officers. The organization, as a whole, may not have shot any police officers because organizations are not tangible. But, according to TheGatewayPundit.com, as of July 17, 2016, at least eleven police officers have been shot dead, and several shot and injured by Black Lives Matter activists since the movement began in August 2014. The FB friend indicated that the movement was one thing and then there are just people who are consistently mad at the perfect law enforcement officer, no matter what color his or her skin may be.

If the BLM movement is indeed unicorns, puppies, and justice for all, why didn’t they denounce these isolated individuals who were rioting? Why didn’t they denounce those individuals who were alleged to have shot the police officers? Why were alleged members of BLM protesting at the Minnesota state fair and in the streets of New York City,  yelling, “Pigs in a blanket, fry ‘em like bacon,” and “What do we want, dead cops, when do we want it, now?” Why did they unabashedly interrupt a Bernie Sanders rally when Bernie was running for the Democrat nomination for president?

The person objecting my sharing of the meme  also referred to “perfect” law enforcement officers. No one ever said that all law enforcement officers were perfect. Yes, there are bad cops, but overall, our police officers are fine people. I have law enforcement officers in my family, and I was engaged to one. I’m on the side of law enforcement.

My nemisis went on to indicate that this meme was outright false, political fodder, conformation bias material, divisive props, and not even close to being finished on this list, but completely dismissive of what the cause actually stands for. This meme was asking a question, no conclusions were drawn. Political fodder? Perhaps. Most liberals have no problem with the actions of BLM and most conservatives do. Confirmation bias? Confirmation bias is defined as the tendency to interpret new evidence as confirmation of one’s existing beliefs or theories. I haven’t seen any new evidence that would indicate that Black Lives Matter is something else other than a violent organization where its members take the law into their own hands and create havoc when something happens that they don’t like. The leaders have not come out to explain themselves or the organization. Divisive props? The meme is one with which most people are either going to agree or disagree. I’m not sure what the person who took issue with this meme may have meant in the allegation following divisive props, but he/she did indicate that people like me are dismissive of what the cause actually stands for. Again, maybe if Black Lives Matter is about justice for all, why don’t their representatives come out and explain themselves? Why don’t they explain why isolated incidents of police officers shooting blacks get their attention and the daily, sometimes hourly black on black murders in Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, etc. get dismissed? Don’t these people also deserve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

My FB friend further indicated that BLM was being treated like a joke. I can tell you, the Black Lives Matter movement is no joke, and I don’t know anyone who thinks it is. It’s a dangerous organization, and has failed to prove otherwise. Of course it’s not okay to take the law into your own hands. The meme was illustrating that since BLM expends so many resources and energy causing havoc whenever a policeman shoots one black person, without regards to the facts of the case, wouldn’t those resources and that energy be better served in situations where multiple blacks are sometimes killed in one evening.

While representatives of billionaire Democrat activist George Soros have vehemently denied the funding of the Black Lives Matter movement by Soros’s Open Society Foundation, documents have been published which show that two months before the denial, the OSF board approved $650,000 to BLM. This is according to thenewamerican.com. Instead of using this money to actually help improve the lives of poverty stricken blacks, it was used to create more unrest in the form of violent protests and staged riots, also according to thenewamerican.com.

You may remember that George Soros once said that he would be willing to spend every penny of his vast wealth to defeat George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential election. He’s still wealthy and George Bush was elected. According to humanevents.com, Soros would like nothing better than for America to become subservient to international bodies. He has repeatedly said that he sees himself as a messianic figure.

Divide and conquer is one of many ways that a nation can be weakened and eventually diminish and or dissappear. Certain elements have been seeking to divide this country along different lines, including racial, social, economic, and political for decades. George Soros has no love for the United States of America and is allegedly funding and promoting groups that seek to divide the country.

Food for thought.

2016, A PRESIDENTAL ELECTION YEAR…THOUGHTS

Monday, January 4, 2016, the first workday of the new year began with a bang. The stock market in China collapsed, causing the Dow, here in the U.S. to drop also. As a result, we’re all a little poorer to begin 2016, an important presidential election year.

An important presidential election year? It seems like every presidential election is more important than any of the previous presidential elections.

That’s so true and the 2016 presidential election is certainly no exception. When the current president was running for re-election in 2012, conservative friends and I felt that the United States could not possibly survive another four years of far left leadership.

Well, here we are, having survived three additional years of far left leadership. Yes, we’ve survived, but how are we actually doing?

Those of us who have to purchase insurance from the Obamacare market place have seen our insurance premiums sky-rocket to the point that we have had to make substantial changes in our life styles. We’ve had to cut back on restaurant meals, travel, clothes, etc. As such, we’re not pumping as much money into the economy. Most of us are holding our collective breaths that we don’t have something catastrophic happen to us because our deductibles are so high that we’re sure to take a hit financially, if called upon to pay that deductible. In fact, health insurance may cause some of us small business owners to have to go back to work just to have health insurance.

Right before our eyes, an evil terrorist group, ISIS, took over the countries of Syria and Iraq as the current president, against the advice of his military advisors pulled American troops out of Iraq. Then the current president called ISIS, JV. The fact is they are the most evil organization on the planet. ISIS has a presence in the United States and has promised to carry out attacks on American soil, killing as many Americans as they can. And what does the current president do? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

Gun Control is trending at the moment with the current president who plans to sign executive orders with provisions, according to al.com as follows:

  • Close gun show loophole
  • Close loophole related to trust and corporate purchases
  • State participation
  • Streamline background check system
  • Lost or stolen guns
  • Mental health services
  • Gun technology
  • Increased personnel, other measures

The second amendment to the Constitution of the United gives Americans the right to own and bear firearms. This amendment was put in by our founding fathers in order that Americans would be able to protect themselves from criminality and tyrannical government, the type of government we live under with the current administration. Furthermore, the current president is not a dictator, though he sure acts the part. He is violating the provisions of the Constitution with his executive orders and should be impeached. And none of what he is doing would have kept the recent gun violence incidents from taking place.

The Republicans still have a plethora of candidates seeking the party’s nomination for president. How it eventually shakes out is anyone’s guess. On the other side, Hillary Clinton will most likely be the nominee for Democrat party. Sadly, there are folks out there who will vote for her. Which Republican candidate(s) will be able to beat her? Sadly, we don’t know if any of them can.

The job market has still not recovered and while unemployment figures are down, many people have simply given up looking for work. Liberals are telling us to accept this as the new norm, which is typical “liberal speak.”

Foreign policy by the president has been a disaster.

We’ve turned our backs on our allies, especially Israel. God has said that he will punish those who turn their backs on his people, Israel. In an article dated October 2012 in shelbystar.com, the author cites Bill Koenig, author of “Eye to Eye” where Mr. Koenig points out that hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and even terrorist attacks have hit American often within 24 hours of calls by U.S. officials for Israel to withdraw from Jewish land.

Hurricane Katrina struck when George Bush forced Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza. Just days after Obama insisted Israel must give up lands it won through military victory with its enemies, some 200 people were killed by a tornado in Joplin, Missouri. Koenig goes on to point out that six of the seven costliest hurricanes in U.S. history followed calls by U.S. officials for Israel to make land concessions in bids for peace with its neighbors, and three of the four largest tornado outbreaks followed such calls.

I truly believe that as Obama continues to widen the gap between Israel and the United States, while seeking to appease those countries which sponsor Islamic terrorism, we will continue to see more natural disasters here in the United States. Of course the liberals will say this is a result of man-made climate change and blame it on Congressional Republicans and Fox News.

Of course, any liberal who reads what I just wrote will be calling me a crazy and other things, though I doubt I will be called anything that I haven’t been already called by the left.

As I conclude my second post of 2016, I’m wondering if we can survive another year of this administration. What is our country going to look like in one year? Will I still be writing articles for this blog in one year? How many more Islamic terrorist attacks will be have taken place on American soil and will the current president continue to tell us not to judge all Muslims by the actions of an isolated few, while blaming all southern white conservative Christians, George Bush, the Confederate flag, and Fox News for incidents of gun violence that may take place or probably will take place?

LIBERAL LIES ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY

I’m writing this post late in the afternoon on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. I’ve seen so many things that have upset me today with regard to the direction that this country is going. Oh well, I’m just going to say it, liberal lies. Since I started following politics and became a Republican, I’ve heard that the Republicans are going to cut Social Security benefits that they are going to destroy Social Security. “I’m scared Reagan is going to cut my Social Security. I’m scared Bush (George H.W.) is going to cut my Social Security. I’m scared Bush (George W.) is going to cut my Social Security.” Has it happened? I don’t think so. For those individuals born between 1946 and 1958, the retirement age has been increased from 65 to 66, and for those individuals born after 1959, the retirement age has been increased to 67. Benefits were not cut, though. Whenever there is a Republican proposal regarding Social Security, you can bet that the liberals will be out in droves saying that the Republicans want to cut or completely demolish Social Security.

Last week, two liberal Friends posted a photo of several well-healed looking business men sitting around a very nice table in what looked like an executive lounge or a private club. The caption indicated that a group of high income executives called the Business Roundtable or Roundtable Business group had advised Republican lawmakers to consider upping the retirement age for receiving Social Security benefits. Details were not discussed, although I would think the retirement age would stay in place for those individuals who are fifty or older. All of a sudden, the Republicans were beholden to the rich who wanted to cut Social Security. What a crock? I posted back in a very tactful way what my research had discovered. I indicated that when seeing something that looks unreasonable, you need to check it out before slapping it up there on social media. One of the liberals thanked me for bring the truth to his attention. One of them never replied.

This morning a different Facebook friend posted a photograph from Blue Nation Review and indicated that Republicans are trying to kill Social Security again. This is what I discovered when I did some research. The House GOP budget released this week included a provision to block a traditionally routine transfer of funds — known as a “reallocation” — from the Social Security retirement fund to the Social Security Disability Insurance fund, which is projected to be unable to pay full benefits beginning in 2016. It affirmed a House rule adopted by Republicans in January to prohibit such a reallocation without reforms to improve the overall financial health of Social Security. A little more research revealed that transferring money from the Social Security retirement fund to the Social Security disability fund has taken place eleven times and the transaction was complete automatically. Whether you think making it not-so-automatic to transfer money from the retirement fund to the disability fund is a good idea or not, any reasonable and prudent individual can see that this is not “killing Social Security.”

The third thing regarding Social Security that made me mad to day was a quote from Vermont Senator, Bernie Sanders. The Senator’s quote went like this: “Today, someone making $10 million a year contributes the same amount into the Social Security Trust Fund as someone making $117,000 a year. By lifting the cap, we can not only extend the solvency of Social Security by decades, but we can also increase benefits. And that’s exactly what we should do.”

Well, let’s not let the truth get in our way, Senator. A person making $10 million dollars a year receives the same amount as someone making the cap for contributions, $117,000. Social Security was designed that way. A low-income individual draws a larger share of their contributions than someone with a high income. It’s very much modeled after the Karl Marx philosophy, “From each according to his ability, to each, according to his need.”

Let’s say we life the cap and everyone must pay 6% or 12% of their income into Social Security. Will those high income folks draw more in Social Security benefits now that they are paying more? How will this affect the system? Will this have the same effect that taxing the rich does? That is, will we see a loss of jobs, and increase in the prices of goods and services, or a lowering of GDP? These are serious questions that the Senator and the rest of the Democrats/liberals must answer. Can you say “slippery slope?”

According to a number of liberal websites, the Social Security retirement fund has enough money in it so that full benefits can be paid until the mid-2030’s. After that only 75% of the benefits can be paid. Folks, that’s not very far away, only twenty years. Those twenty years will be here before we know it. It seems like yesterday that I was at the movies watching Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, and Uma Thurman in the movie, “Pulp Fiction.”
With our out of control dictator, I can imagine that at some point, individuals who have faithfully contributed to Social Security might not be eligible to draw their benefits. At retirement age, the Feds would declare someone ineligible because of their net worth. If your net worth is over a certain amount at the time you reach retirement age, you can’t draw Social Security. Instead you live exclusively on your accumulated wealth. What you have contributed will be re-distributed.

The above is pure speculation on my part of what might happen if liberal Democrats are elected to the Presidency for years to come. My predictions about a lot of things that would happen when the current President was elected proved to be true.

A COUPLE OF THINGS I FIND STRANGE

The Justice Department has determined that officer Darren Wilson, of the Ferguson, Missouri Police Department, acted in self-defense and was not guilty of any wrong doing in the shooting of Michael Brown. In delivering this announcement, United States Attorney General Eric Holder looked like he would rather be in a room full of rattle snakes. It was definitely a force delivery. For the “Eric Holder” Justice Department to declare that Officer Wilson was acting appropriately and within the law and within police guidelines, anyone would have to come to the conclusion that Officer Wilson was so obviously innocent. If this Justice Department had found anything questionable, there is no doubt in my mind that Wilson would have been nailed.

In a separate report, the Justice Department described what it said was a “pattern and practice” of discrimination against African-Americans by the Ferguson police and municipal courts. That discrimination included racist emails. I haven’t looked into this report, but according to cnn.com, the report states that while the town of Ferguson, Missouri is 67% black, 85% of those whose vehicles were stopped by the police were black. Furthermore, 90% of those who received citations were black and 93% of people arrested in Ferguson were black. There is some difference here, but for a town of just 21,000, it doesn’t exactly speak volumes to me. Several Ferguson municipal employees have resigned as a result of this report.

So, on one hand, the Justice Department finds that Officer Darren Wilson did not act in any way inappropriately, but finds the Ferguson Police Department has a pattern of discrimination against blacks. The current administration appears to be anti-local law enforcement. The current President never fails to take a shot at them when some sort of incident happens, even when he doesn’t know the facts of the case. In fact, liberals in general do this and typically root for the “so-called victim.” Again, what else is new? We all know that liberals don’t care about facts.

I do have a concern regarding this administration and our local law enforcement agencies. The current President, his administration, and the rest of his supporters are into putting everything they possibly can under the control of the Federal government. What’s to stop them from taking steps to impose regulations upon our local police and sheriff’s departments? Then what’s to stop them from doing away with local law enforcement and putting all law enforcement under the Federal umbrella? Can you say GESTAPO?

Do you know who the Koch brothers are, two men who name liberals spit out with hatred? The Koch brothers are majority owners of Koch Industries, an oil, gas, chemical conglomerate and the second largest private company in the U.S. Their foundations have provided millions of dollars to a wide variety of organizations, including the United Negro College Fund. Their foundations have also contributed to conservative and libertarian think tanks. But as I said, there is overwhelming hatred for the Koch brothers from the left.

Do you know who George Soros is, someone most liberals seem to revere? He’s a Hungarian-born American businessman, investor, and philanthropist. He is also a supporter of liberal/progressive political causes. He was the guy that said he would be willing to spend all of his money to see that George Bush wasn’t re-elected president in 2004, saying that removing George Bush from office was the center of his life. Recipients of his funding include ACORN, Planned Parenthood, The Southern Poverty Law Center, Media Matters, and MoveOn.org, all suspected corrupt organizations. According to humanevents.com, Soros would like nothing better than for America to become subservient to international bodies. He wants more power for groups such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Soros has also commented that he seems himself as a messianic figure and admits that he has carried some potent messianic fantasies since his childhood. He admits to having to suppress these fantasies for fear of ending up in a loony bin.

George Soros is a very scary individual who is obviously an advocate of an eventual one world government. He has even been linked, through his foundations, to the demonstrations in Ferguson, Missouri. The Koch brothers are rich businessmen who have certainly contributed to conservative causes. They are great Americans who believe in American exceptionalism.

Whenever I hear liberals express hatred for the Koch brothers, I want to say to them, “What about your awful George Soros? Of course, liberals can say anything and when called down for it, they just start screaming and hurling insults which are about the only things they know how to do, other than muck up our nation. And they certainly have done that.
