ALL EYES ON ALABAMA

No matter what part of the country you’re from, you probably know about the Senate election in Alabama, taking place on Tuesday, December 12, to replace former Senator, now Attorney General, Jeff Sessions. The election is between Republican, Roy Moore and Democrat, Doug Jones.

Just after the primary and run-off were complete, accusations of sexual misconduct were leveled against Judge Moore by numerous women, none of which have been proven.

I’ll be as glad as anyone when this election is over. And I still have a question to ask. If these women felt that Roy Moore was unfit to become a U.S. Senator, why didn’t they speak up during the primaries? If all this had come up during the primary, I don’t believe Judge Moore would have won the nomination. Also, some of these women are claiming they fear for their lives. I don’t believe this would have happened had all this come out in the primaries. The nomination would have gone to Luther Strange or Mo Brooks. Either one of the candidates would have beaten Democrat Doug Jones easily. But waiting until Moore had already captured the nomination speaks of a plan to get a Democrat elected to further narrow the Republican majority in the Senate.

Some try to say that these women were too embarrassed to come out earlier even though Judge Moore has run for numerous elected positions and has been a public figure in Alabama for almost two decades. Did these women suddenly feel invigorated once Judge Moore won the Republican nomination? Could they not have come out just a couple of months earlier if they were so concerned about him getting elected? One of the women making the accusations trotted out Gloria Allred as her attorney. Gloria Allred is nothing but a celebrity ambulance chaser. I call her a “lawyer for losers.”

It’s only been in the last twenty years or so that the Democrat party has moved so far to the left and begun to resort to lies, bigotry, hate, intolerance. Doug Jones has ads out there which claim that he is pro-military, pro-business, pro-gun ownership. In the past, there have been Democrats that were all of these things. But now, with few exceptions, they’re all borderline socialists/communists. Also, Democrats used to cross the aisle and work with Republicans on many issues. It was Tip O’Neil who worked with President Reagan to get tax cuts passed in the eighties.

Perhaps, if the Democrat party was more like the party it was in the mid to late twentieth century, having one elected Senator from Alabama wouldn’t scare so many of us. Also, if the Democrats were willing to discuss issues instead of hurling unfounded accusations at whom they don’t agree, folks might not be scared to vote for and elect one. Maybe if they had accepted the result of President Trump’s election and had worked with him on issues such as health care and tax reform, we might not be scared to elect a Democrat to office. Furthermore, if they were willing to discuss climate change and address the many scientists who have indicated that it doesn’t exist or that it’s not man made, instead of declaring that anyone who doesn’t accept man made climate change is a moron and deserves to be punished, electing a Democrat might not scare us to the extent that it does. oss the aisle and work with Republicans on many issues. So, dems, what do you think? In your possible zeal to destroy the Trump presidency, you may have ruined some lives in the process. But wait, Democrats don’t care if they ruin people’s lives.

No matter who is elected, conservatives in Alabama will take a beating. If Roy Moore wins, we will be the recipients of exponential hate from liberals across the nation, not to mention the liberals who reside in Alabama. I’ve always said that liberals here in the south are particularly filled with unfathomable hate because they are in the minority. Insults to the degree that we’ve never seen before will be hurled at us. It’s going to get rough, so fasten your seat belts.  I can just hear what Mika and Morning Joe (I’m embarrassed that he’s a University of Alabama graduate) will be saying, what Don Lemmon will be saying, what Rachel Maddow will be saying, what Chris Matthews will be saying, etc.

If Doug Jones wins, conservatives in Alabama will still be subject to hate and gloating from the leftists here in the state. We can handle it, because we’re used to it. However, the slim Republican majority in the Senate will get even slimmer, making it harder for President Trump to pass his “make America great again” agenda. As a result, the entire nation will suffer.

God has placed a heavy burden on the state of Alabama, a state that Democrat Senatorial candidate, Doug Jones, admits to being embarrassed to “be from.” Will the people of the state of Alabama come through and elect Republican, Roy Moore, so that President Trump will have a chance to make America great again? Or will the people of Alabama elect Doug Jones, liberal Democrat, and perhaps send the United States of America on a collision course to socialism/communism?

THE ONLY SOLUTION TO OUR NATION’S PROBLEMS

And the only solution to any of our problems!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve never solved a problem in my life, never fixed anything, never got myself out of a jam. Okay, in the year 1999, after I found out that my job and my department were being transferred to the offices of our parent company in Cincinnati, I decided to study computer programming in hopes of getting to stay in Birmingham, instead of having to relocate to a different region in the country. I was an only child and my Mom was aging, and was going to need me to be down here. I took classes, worked hard, and launched a new career. People complimented me, telling me how brave and how smart I was to do something like that.

Just four short years ago, I had grown extremely unhappy with my current job. My short-term memory wasn’t as good as it was when I was younger and the stress was overwhelming. Plus, my department was making sweeping changes that I was not sure I wanted or was able to be a part of. I was scared, and my attitude toward work was bad, something I had never experienced in my life. I decided to “run the numbers” and found that I could live comfortably for a while on my current assets. I quit my job, and took steps to start my own business. Today, in addition to writing for and managing this blog, I also own and manage a sports information website, have published and promoted a fiction novel, and have several writing projects in the pipeline, including a sequel to my current novel. I’m also in the beginning stages of starting a book publishing/author services company. WOW! Look what I’ve done.

WRONG! I didn’t do any of the above. Like I said, I’ve never solved anything in my life. God did all of the above. He put ideas in my head and guided me. In 1999, I don’t recall having said, to God, “I can’t handle it, please help. In 2013, I did. Both times he guided me.

We all face problems as we pass dwell on earth. We generally solve them, some quickly and easily, some not so quickly and not so easily. But it’s never us that solves our problems, it’s always God, whether we just do what we have to do, or find ourselves down on our hands and knees, crying, telling God, that we don’t know what to do, please help.

The hate emanating from the left toward newly elected and inaugurated President, Donald Trump, his family, his administration, his supporters, and Republicans/Conservatives in general has reached epic proportions, a level, of which, none of us thought possible. The attempted assassination attempt, which targeted Congressional Republicans, injuring Rep. Steve Scalise and others served to put Americans on notice that there is nothing liberals won’t say or do in their attempt to destroy President Trump, the United States of America, and all of us who don’t agree with their governing philosophies.

The left won’t even attempt to discuss issues such as health care, the economy, tax reform, immigration, foreign policy, and the environment. All they seem to want to do is “spread the hate” and destroy as much as possible, including property, lives, etc.

When President Trump was elected and subsequently inaugurated, I expected fights and conflict. I anticipated battles over health care, the Mexican wall, foreign policy, gun control, homeland security, etc. I expected Democrats to accuse Republicans of hating the sick, hating the poor, bowing to big business, hating women, hating gays, and all the other things they’ve accused us over the years. But I have to tell you, never in my wildest imagination did I think the hate and lies from the left would grow to the level that it has. And I don’t think anybody else did either.

You can get on predominately liberal forums and threads, and refute the things they are saying with facts until you are blue in the face. They’re still going to lie and call you names. A couple of days ago, I saw where a liberal on a thread said that Obama never blamed his processor, George W. Bush, for his problems. WHAT A WHOPPER! Is there anyone that can with a straight face that this is true. Mind-boggling, simply mind-boggling.

With things in the state they’re in, I can’t see how our continued responses to the lies and hate coming from the left, with the actual truth, is going to change things. Liberals aren’t going to change and suddenly start examining things with an open mind as we continue to point out lie after lie they’re telling.

God’s always in control, but I don’t think he’s automatically sending us the tools and the wisdom to deal with what’s taking place in our country. Does God want us to turn to him? Does he want us to get down on our knees and say, “God, help us, we can’t do this.” God always wants us to come to him, he’s never too busy to listen to our teeny-tiny whiney problems.

Yes, God gives us the ability to solve some of our problems, even though we may not always acknowledge his presence in our lives. He even allows us to take credit and boast of our abilities (LOL), while still loving us unconditionally.

Is God signaling us to turn to him and ask him to tone down the hate and the lies that are ravaging this nation? I think, absolutely, he is. Does he want us to stop pushing back against what is being said and done by the other side? I don’t think so. But, we need God, we need to directly turn to God because he is the only solution to this problem and all other problems.

LIBERALS HAVE THE MATURITY OF HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORES

Think back to your high school days, those days where the “cool crowd” ruled. The “cool crowd” consisted mostly of the athletes, beauty queens, the talented, those whose parents had money, and yes, maybe those who were extremely smart. Those not in the “cool crowd” were the students who were not the very talented, not the very beautiful, not the very athletic, etc. Even the teachers favored the students who were part of the “cool crowd,” often taking an interest in the top two or three in the class, to the detriment of the remainder of the other students. The students who were part of the “cool crowd” often mistreated those students were not a part of the “cool crowd,” often to the point of hurting them so much that they experienced difficulties later in life. I shouldn’t have to further illustrate this because you surely get my drift.

My high school graduating class currently has socials once a quarter. At a recent reunion, it was suggested by one of the class leaders that we put our petty issues behind us and go forward as a class and be there for one another. In a recent email, another class leader acknowledged that for some classmates, high school was not a pleasant experience, but urged those folks who may not have warm fuzzy feeling about their high school days to come back and be a part of the class.

Today’s liberals, even though they are well into adulthood, still have the maturity of high school sophomores. They think of themselves as the “cool crowd,” and often mistreat anyone who doesn’t have the same political philosophy as they do. I was purposefully not invited to a cousin’s wedding because of my political ideology. I have an alleged friend who entertains a lot, mostly dinner parties for her little clique. She’s a liberal and has never invited me to one of her little soirees because I’m a conservative and might embarrass her in front of her elitist friends. I also suspect that I was left out of an Aunt’s will because of my political philosophy. And if you’re wondering, I do have a few liberals in my family.

Liberals are nothing but bullies. As we all know, they don’t hesitate to call anyone who doesn’t agree with them names such as moron, idiot, clueless, dumb, mentally retarded (even though that term is not politically correct, except when it pertains to conservatives), etc.

Even though central Alabama is one of the major conservative strongholds, we do have liberals. And those liberals are likely to be nasty, hateful people, because they are in the minority, and they know it. But that doesn’t keep these liberals from acting like high school sophomores.

A guy who was a year ahead of me in high school requested friendship from me back in 2010. He was and still is very brilliant, and was one of those students who the teachers favored. Because he was a strong liberal, he, his liberal friends, and I often got into serious political discussions. Like all liberals, he is full of hate and abhors all who do not agree with him politically. After Donald Trump received the Republican nomination for president, this FB friend indicated that he would unfriend anyone who was a Trump supporter because of his hatred for Trump and Trump supporters. After indicating that I was a Trump supporter, he promptly unfriended me. If I were to ever meet up with this person face to face, I have no doubt he would be the same snooty elitist person toward me now as he was to me in high school, even though I was one of the smart, talented, and pretty students in my high school.

Another guy who was in my graduating class and one of the smart, elitist, teacher favorites in high school is now a big liberal and an educator in one of the liberal strongholds of the United States. Even though I was never FB friends with him, he was one of those who indicated that anyone who didn’t support the policies of Barack Obama was a racist. He was one of those folks who felt that all white people were born racist and because of that should give themselves lashes with a whip (well maybe not a whip, maybe a fly swatter) every night before going to sleep to atone for their racist indwelling. He and I had a back and forth on a mutual friend’s thread. In the end, I sent him a private message telling him just what I thought about him and his elitist self. I even went back to our high school days. Needless to say, he never responded back to me.

Does it sound like these individuals who I have discussed above never matured past high school? Or maybe you might say, well, these are examples of only a few of “not so nice” people, but not all liberals are like this. Wrong. That’s not what I’ve observed over the years that I’ve been observing the behavior of the left.

Look around. Get on liberal Internet forums and discussion threads. It’s not illegal to do that; nor is it illegal to make comments on these threads. It is very rare to find a liberal thread where four-letter words are not used on a regular basis. Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Jeff Sessions, Kellyanne Conway, and other administration officials and prominent Republicans are constantly trashed and called and accused of unspeakable things. Issues are never discussed, just all-out mud-slinging takes place on these forums. Calling people names, especially with regard to their looks and their actions? Sure sounds sophomoric to me.

And this failure by liberals to get over Hillary Clinton’s loss in her bid for the presidency is, perhaps, the most glaring example of the immature left. This reminds me of high school beauty pageants, particularly mine. With few exceptions, the winner was generally a surprise contestant. Judges for the pageant almost always lived outside the area; and thus, had no idea regarding the popularity of the young ladies competing for the crown. However, there were always two or three girls who were the favorites. One year, in my high school’s beauty pageant, a relatively unknown young woman was crowned, while one of the favorites, in a rage, attempted to storm off the stage when the winner was announced. Luckily the loser was corralled before it became obvious to the audience what was taking place. Spoiled and immature? Yep! The loser acted then just like liberals are acting now. There is one difference, though. The young lady who lost, like the rest of us, eventually grew up. The Hillary supports are adults who give the appearance of never having grown up.

Liberals are the true racists, bigots, hypocrites, liars, and haters. They don’t seem capable of discussing the issues. Instead, they resort to their name-calling, their hate, and their venom-spewing. Like the members of the “cool crowds,” common to all high schools, they think they can do anything and get by with it because they’re smart, beautiful, athletic, and talented. The teacher loved maybe the top five of them and couldn’t care less about the other students. So, they were allowed to get by with being snobby, often making the lives of other students miserable to the point that these students suffered difficulties later in life. However, what do they care?

Liberals don’t care about anything except themselves and controlling the lives of everyone else. They certainly don’t care about anyone’s happiness or well-being, unless, of course, you carry water for their leftist/socialist/communist agenda.
Liberals have only the maturity of high school students, and I don’t look for that to change anytime soon.

MELBOURNE CAMPAIGN RALLY

Was the so-called Melbourne campaign rally held by President Trump at the Melbourne-Orlando International Airport a waste of time or a stroke of genius?

campaignrally

When the Melbourne campaign rally was first announced, I was indifferent about it. It was being billed as a campaign rally because President Trump had already signed up to run for president in 2020 and the funds to pay for the rally were coming out of the campaign.

Of course, it goes without saying that those of the “tolerant left” totally trashed it. Here are a few of the comments that were made on a liberal thread to an article from Poliltico entitled, “Trump to Take Breather from White House, Hold Rally this Weekend.”

  • Hasn’t he taken a break every weekend so far?
  • He’s up to avoiding news conferences.
  • Rally to make himself feel good.
  • I would rather him do his (deleted) job instead of wasting taxpayer money on his vacations. The Presidency isn’t a Monday-Friday, 9-5 job.
  • I’d rather he do his job. Did you get vacations after three weeks on any job you’ve ever had? Me either.

And these were some of the plainer vanilla comments that were made. Furthermore, on this thread, commenters were alleging that President Trump had already taken three vacations since his inauguration. That’s bunk and everyone, including the liberals who are alleging this know it. He’s worked every day or almost every day since assuming the office of the presidency. Visit whitehouse.gov to see a list of his accomplishments.

Back to the Melbourne campaign Rally, was it a waste of time or a stroke of genius. I think even the “tolerant left” would admit to themselves behind closed doors that it was a stroke of genius.

We almost lost this country and had Hillary Clinton been elected president, within four years, only remnants of the United States of America would probably remain. Former President Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is a fragile think and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance, it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.” (Taken from Wikiquote.org/wiki/Ronald_Reagan)

Having almost lost this country, it is up to conservatives, including Trump supporters, the President and his administration, Congress, and the Judicial system to take responsibility for seeing that our freedoms remain in place for generations to come. Trump supporters, particularly, should not become discouraged. And while there are certainly going to be mistakes made, plus the left is not ever going to give up in its quest to oust President Trump, the conservative base must stay focused and ready to fend off the flames that the “tolerant left” is sure to throw.

After the president endured a grueling week, the Melbourne campaign rally served to reinforce Trump supporters and remind them of the things that this president has already accomplished and intends to accomplish. With the Internet and social media as driving forces that no one had heard of twenty-five years ago, especially social media, Trump supporters can mix it up with the “tolerant left.”

Many of us, myself included, have at one time worked in a customer service capacity. A lot of companies require their customer service employees to attend frequent seminars designed to reinvigorate and re-instill positive attitudes related to their work. This is necessary because everyone suffers burn-out occasionally and is prone to slack or sloppiness.

President Trump, in holding the Melbourne campaign rally, seems to be adopting the above approach in keeping his base reinvigorated. Plus, he is reminding the American people of the things his administration has accomplished and providing a roadmap to what he intends to do in the weeks and months ahead.

Should he continue these rallies? Absolutely! How often? The president has not called to ask my opinion, but when he does, I’m going to tell him that every 2-1/2 to 3 months is what I would recommend. Brian Kilmeade of the Fox and Friends show recommended every two months. Or maybe whenever needed would be a possibility.

Either way, the Melbourne campaign rally served its purpose. President Trump’s base got a dose of enthusiasm, and the liberals were left with egg on their faces.

ANALYSIS OF A LIBERAL RANT

I was the only conservative participant on a liberal thread that lasted for approximately three days. And yes, I was piled upon. But what else is new? One of entries read as follows:

“This whole thread is one of the best examples I could show of the stubborn, stick-your-head-in-the-sand, I’m going to stick to my rhetoric even though it hurts me mindset of the average conservative. They will blindly follow a leader who will pass legislation that is against their economic and social interests—and praise him for doing so. They will apply a double-standard and call it even-handed. They will listen to complete idiots, regurgitate what they hear, and refuse to think for themselves. They will tie themselves in knots trying to make things sound like equivalencies when there are, in fact, no parallels. And then they will call it God’s will.”

Typical liberal rant? I’d say so.

Of course, this person was referring to me. I was called stubborn and accused of sticking my head in the sand. In other words, I have my belief system and convictions in place. Because, I’m a bit mystified by the next phrase, “I’m going to stick to my rhetoric even though it hurts me mindset,” I’m going to skip over it and assume it has something to do with my stubbornness and sticking my head in the sand.

The author of this liberal rant further says that conservatives will blindly follow a leader who will pass legislation that it against their economic and social interests and then praise them for doing so. If I recall, candidate Donald Trump was a joke to many Republicans upon announcing his run for the presidency. In fact, he was to me. He wasn’t my first choice as the Republican nominee.

Upon his winning of the nomination, I supported him. No way was I going to support Hillary Clinton. As I’ve written many times, I had concerns about Donald Trump because Trump was a businessman who had never worked in the public sector. The public and private sectors are two “different animals.” I wasn’t sure that businessman, Donald Trump, who always got what he wanted within the confines of his business, would adapt to the public sector where getting things done takes time and opposition is forever present. While most Republicans by election day had boarded the “Trump train,” there were holdouts. In summary, some people supported Donald Trump from the day he announced his run. As candidate Trump campaigned, more and more Republicans cast their fates with Donald Trump. The author of the subject liberal rant said conservatives blindly follow. Doesn’t sound like blind following to me. In fact, Republicans often disagree on issues. It’s the Democrats who blindly follow their leaders, especially Barack Hussein Obama, like sheep being led to the slaughter house. I labeled Obama supporters, “Obama zombies” because of their blind loyalty in supporting everything he did and their attitude that Barack Obama could do no wrong.

This commenter didn’t stop there, he/she extended the “blindly follow a leader” sentence to insinuate that even though legislation passed by the leader they follow blindly is not in their best interests, they follow that leader anyway. A common characteristic of most liberals is that think they know what’s better for you than you do. Excuse me, but I don’t think you do.

“They will apply a double-standard and call it even-handed:” The commenter is probably referring to my citing that after the Obama wins, liberals were saying, “Get over it, you lost, we don’t care what you think, we’re going to do what we’re going to do.” I don’t think I’ve uttered this directly to any liberals, but I have not hesitated to remind them of what they said to us following the 2008 and 2012 elections. I’ve also reminded liberals that they called people who were not Obama supporters and did not support his policies racists. Fast-forward to 2016 and they’re now saying that descent is okay. And of course, it is. But when Republicans do it, it is somehow racists or un-American, but when Democrats do it, it’s okay.

Indicating that conservatives will listen to complete idiots and regurgitate what they hear, refusing to think for themselves is utter nonsense. I already touched on this portion of this liberal rant. Conservatives/Republicans often have differences because they are thinking for themselves.

“They will tie themselves in knots trying to make things sound like equivalencies when there are, in fact, no parallels.” What things?

“And then they call it God’s will.” As those of you who regularly read my articles, I’m often mention God, along with my Christian faith. On this thread, I did indicate, that while I was disturbed at the path the United States seemed to be taking, I knew that God was in control. The mention of God to many liberals throws them into all sorts of conniptions.

I chose this liberal rant because it is vicious, but doesn’t use foul language. While I hope it amuses you, I also hope it will serve to give you fodder if you find yourself in a “discussion” with a liberal.
