LYING WITH A PURPOSE

Trial lawyers, while trying cases, often utilize a slick trick to sway a jury. An attorney for one side will ask the witness an improper question, knowing the opposing attorney will object and the objection will be sustained. Even though the witness was not allowed to answer the question, the jury heard the question and can’t possibly un-hear it.

Democrats, in a concerted effort to destroy the Donald Trump presidency constantly lie about the president, his administration, Republicans in general, and Trump supporters. They lie, they know they’re lying, and they don’t care that they’re lying.

Not all citizens are as politically astute as I am, and my readers are. They’re clueless when it comes to current events and politics, only getting what little knowledge they have from snippets of news they hear in passing. They may watch part of the evening network news before tuning in to their favorite sitcoms and dramas on TV after eating dinner. Then it’s off to bed. Rinse and repeat.

It’s these folks that liberals are targeting. The liberal media, including the networks, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe, etc. run a story that everyone knows is a lie. So, what, if it’s a lie. They want the folks I described above to hear it or read it and think,” Gee, this president is an awful person to say the things he says.” Two or three days later the truth come out that the president didn’t actually say that, or what he said was taken out of context. A retraction may be run correcting the record, or not.

The Democrats have achieved their goal. People like I described above heard the original story, but there’s a good chance they didn’t hear the truth.

Like I’ve been saying for years, Democrats don’t care about the truth. They tell lies and they know they are telling lies. It’s okay, though. They have each other’s’ backs. They have their own little lying clique. No one inside the clique is going to call them out or say the false story should not have been run.

Yes, conservatives and conservative media are going to call them out. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Tucker Carlson, all the way down to Nancy Graham are going to investigate and obtain the truth. But how many of the people I described above follow Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Tucker Carlson, etc? Virtually none. And because Rush, Sean, Bill, Tucker, etc. are continuous targets for the left to direct their venomous hate, most of the above folks would rather be struck dead than spend even a few minutes listening the these talking heads. They have no interest in pursuing other angles, it’s time for “Dancing with the Stars.”

STORY ABOUT THE NFL – HOW IMPORTANT IS IT?

Throughout social media, people are questioning the news media’s covering of the NFL Story regarding multiple players refusing to stand while the National Anthem is played before football games. The coverage has been almost non-stop, and as one would expect, with the exception of Fox News and One America News, the media is taking the side that it’s perfectly okay to kneel for the National Anthem in protest of a cruel United States of America with a history of slavery and oppression of minorities.

When President Trump came out of Friday night, September 22, at a rally in Huntsville, Alabama, advising NFL team owners that they should fire “those SOBs who refuse to stand for the anthem,” a widespread movement swept among the players to kneel when the anthem was played.

Many folks are now boycotting the NFL and as you can imagine, there have been “opinions galore” out there. For the record, here’s mine. I blame the owners for allowing this kerfuffle to escalate to the extent it has. These players signed contracts with their respective teams, and when you sign a contract of employment, no matter what you position is, you agree to do what your employer tells you to do. The owners could have told the players, “stand for the National Anthem or be fired.” The end! But they didn’t. They wimped out.

While, of course, the players are to be held accountable for their actions and will certainly suffer repercussions, they are young men, many of them under the age of twenty-five. And they’re millionaires to boot. Groomed since childhood to be football stars, they held press conferences while in high school to announce the college they had chosen. Once they got on campus, they became the most popular guys on campus. In some states, such as my own, they became the most important people in the state, being loved, adored, and looked up to by many. After being drafted and signing multi-million-dollar contracts, they played football, and continued to be everyone’s darling. Pretty heady stuff.

Playing for an NFL team is hard work. Practices are grueling and pressure is never ending. These players are not your average twenty-four-year-old college graduates who are trying to “make it” in fields such as accounting, computer science, teaching, banking, etc. Do they watch the news, do they regularly visit news websites? Probably not. Majority of these players are black and many came from poor families. Furthermore, when someone tells them that the United States of America is a cruel racist country, and that’s why there are so many people living under the poverty line, many of them minorities, these players want to be seen as doing something good, plus they’re young and idealistic. They also want to fit in, to be popular with their peers. Thus, I put more of the blame on the owners and NFL management for allowing this to happen.  Like Bill O’Reilly said last night, it’s “pack mentality.” Also, many are not mature enough to think through what their actions might lead to down the road.

Having said all of the above, I’m also reading articles where many folks are complaining, saying that we have much more important stuff to cover and obsess on instead of football; things such as the damages and continued suffering of those affected by the recent hurricanes, plus “Little Rocket Man” on the other side of the world threatening to annihilate all of us. And let’s not forget the terrorist attack on a small church in Antioch, Tennessee where a gunman from the Sudan killed a woman church-goer in the parking lot and injured others, shooting until he was subdued by another church-goer with a carry permit and a gun. The mainstream media would not have covered the church shooting story anyway, because a black Islamic terrorist shooting at, killing and injuring white Christians, particularly southern white Christians is just not newsworthy, nor did it trigger widespread riots, looting, and allegations of police brutality.

I beg to differ with those who think the NFL story is immaterial in the wake of what else is taking place in the country and in the world.

The NFL and sports in general have always been large parts of our culture where all people regardless of financial status, social status, religion, ethnicity, ideology, etc. could come together for fun, and fellowship. The ultra-liberal sitting next to you in the stands wants the same thing as you want…for your team to win. As the United States of America becomes more polarized with respect to how we should govern ourselves now and in the future, the sports culture, where historically politics didn’t exist, has become increasingly important as a refuge and a uniting mechanism.

As I watched the left go nuclear at the president’s comments, calling him a racist (the media calling the president a racist…what else is new), when he didn’t even mention race or skin color in his remarks, followed by Roger Goodell’s actions and the team owners’ actions, it became all too apparent that this whole melee was being fueled by the left with its systematic methodologies to destroy the United States of America by vaporizing its history, including the constitution, and destroying its culture, institution by institution.

The organizers of the leftist movement to annihilate the United State of America, have now seen an opportunity to break up one of the nation’s cultural bastions, the National Football League. There have been calls for boycotting, not just the games, but boycotting NFL sponsors. And TV ratings have been down.  If the fans lose interest, income will go down, the owners will suffer, and eventually the players will suffer, not to mention all the people who work for the NFL and NFL teams in various capacities from grounds keepers, secretaries, accountants, etc. This could very well lead to a recession, especially if the left continues to attack and destroy other institutions.

Like Bill O’Reilly said last night on Hannity, left not only wants to destroy President Trump, they want to destroy his supporters, and they want to destroy the United States of America and build it back up according to their specifications, starting with a new constitution, the abolishment of the electoral college, the abolishment the three branches of government and the system of checks and balances. And who can predict what else. It’s “1984,” folks.

On Hannity last night, I noticed a slight apprehension that pervaded the Bill O’Reilly segment. Sean and Bill were both critical of the main stream media reiterating that it was as corrupt as it’s ever been. With what our young people are being taught in the public schools, or not being taught in the public schools, they have no knowledge of this country and its history, except that America has allowed the institution of slavery and continues to oppress minorities. Furthermore, since the end of the cold war, they have not been taught or nor have they seen the evils of communism and the effects of socialism. Thus, many millennials think communism and socialism are good philosophies as compared to the evils of capitalism in which we now live under.

How can this happen when the Republicans have the house, the Senate, and the presidency? I’ll tell you how, the far left has the press, a press that lives to denigrate President Trump every day, a press that promotes the lies, the hatred, the bigotry and the hypocrisy emanating from the left. If the only news that you watch are snippets of the network news or a few minutes of CNN or MSNBC, all you hear is “Russia, Russia, Russia,” Trump’s a racist, Trump’s a misogynist, Trump’s a homophobe, all Trump cares about are his wealthy friends, his supporters are ignorant, especially those southern white conservative Christians.

With a corrupt media, that promotes the left and lies about the right.  a large segment of the population that knows nothing about the cold war and the evils of communism, and conservatives who are scared of their own shadows who tremble at the thought of being called a racist, we can easily lose this nation. This is no laughing matter.

MORE ABOUT WHITE SUPREMACY IN THE UNITED STATES

Rush Limbaugh does it, Sean Hannity does it, Tucker Carlson does it, Bill O’Reilly does it and most every conservative pundit and talking head does it. What do they do? Before beginning a discussion on the recent demonstrations and protests such as Charlottesville, Boston, and Berkley, all folks participating in the discussion must first denounce white supremacy, white nationalism, neo-Nazism. For to not do so, would signal to the left in this country that you are not only a hater, but a white supremacy/white nationalist/neo-nazi yourself.  And once the left labels you as such, lack of evidence notwithstanding, you’re done.

As I indicated in my August 16 article, entitled, “Condemn the white groups first, forget the rest,” the citizens of the United States of America have been conditioned by the left that racism by whites or white groups, particularly white nationalists/white supremacists if the sin that can possible be committed on the planet, and anyone found guilty of this sin must die.

If a white nationalist group and a left wing radical group such as Antifa which has its roots in the old Occupy Wall Street movement and is a communist based organization, collide, you sure can’t blame both sides and let it go at that. You must first denounce the white supremacists/white nationalists/neo-Nazis as the biggest threat this country faces, forget about Kim Jung Un and a nuclear Korea, or the Islamic terrorist state of Iran and their continued violations of the treaty former President, Barack Obama made with them.

I also mentioned in my previous article that I had heard some talking head indicating that the number of white supremacists/white nationalists/neo-Nazis in this country numbered about 100,000. Plus, if there are regular cross-burnings and lynchings taking place in the country, I haven’t heard about it, and I live in central Alabama, the Birmingham area, to be exact. Furthermore, I’m not hearing of any Jewish people being rounded up and sent to concentration camps, have you? If cross burnings, lynchings, and the imprisonment of Jews are common place in this country, wouldn’t CNN, MSNBC, or other left-leaning media outlets be broadcasting it instead of Russia, Russia, Russia, and first lady, Melania Trump’s choice of shoes?

My point is that I don’t see these white supremacist/white nationalist/neo-Nazi groups as that prevalent or dangerous. Could they become dangerous and a threat to Americans? I’m sure, if provoked enough, they could. But right now, Antifa, the MS-13 gangs, and even Black Lives Matter are a bigger domestic threat to Americans than any of the various white supremacist/white nationalist/neo-Nazi groups. And let’s not forget ISIS or also known as the Islamic State, which had its origins in the vacuum created in Iraq when former President Barack Obama pulled troops out of that country. To date, ISIS is the evilest terrorist group on the planet, and they have a presence in the United States. Also worth mention are the Taliban, the Muslim Brotherhood (a favorite of former President Barack Obama), and Al Qaeda.

While we are all familiar with the Black Panthers, Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, and now MS-13 and Antifa, before the Charlottesville melee and “Unite the Right,” except for the Ku Klux Klan, I couldn’t name any individual white supremacist groups. Once again, they are just not that prevalent and practically no incidents of a national news level can be contributed to these groups.

We have recently discovered that the son of Vice Presidential nominee, Tim Kaine, is a member of Antifa, and was arrested at the Minnesota State Capitol in March after disrupting a pro-Trump rally (According to Gateway Pundit). Children, even raised in the best of homes often go astray as did young Linwood Kaine. But, can you imagine if it had been discovered that the son or daughter of a prominent Republican was participating in a so-called White Nationalist group. CNN, MSNBC, and other MSM outlets would have a field day. Most likely, half of their time would be spent on “Russia, Russia, Russia, and the other half spent on the Republican’s son or daughter. And this would take place after the prominent Republican condemned, condemned, and condemned the actions of his offspring. To date, I am not aware That Tim Kaine has condemned the behavior of his son.

It’s hard to find statistics on White Nationalist groups. Cursory Google searches virtually turn up nothing. While searches for statistics on international terrorism, including acts committed on U.S. soil by individuals linked to foreign terrorist organizations, yields a gold mine, according to Sarah Tate Chambers in an August 17, 2017 article in lawfareblog.com. In Search of Data on White Supremacist Violent Crime.

Left wing smear merchant, Slate.com, in an article entitled “The Long List of Killings Committed by White Extremists Since the Oklahoma City Bombing,” published on August 14, 2017, tells us that in the two decades since Timothy McVeigh’s attack killing 168 in Oklahoma City, the Southern Poverty Law Center has created a list of thirty-five deadly attacks, rending 74 victims, carried or believed to be carried out by white extremists. You can read the list for yourself. The Long List of Killings Committed by White Extremists Since the Oklahoma City Bombing.  Key words here are “carried or believed to be carried out.” We don’t know if all of these killings were white supremacist based. Furthermore, these are single incidents carried by either one person or only a few people It’s not surprise that Slate pontificates on how egregious this is, thirty-five attacks in twenty years. I wonder if Slate has ever written about the bloodshed in the south side of Chicago that occurs on a nightly basis where scores of black lives have been taken and continue to be taken.

In an article on revealnews.org, a piece was written outlining an interview Reveal’s host, Al Letson had with known and admitted White Nationalist, Richard Spencer. Of course, to the left, Spencer is Adolph Hitler incarnate. Without dissecting the article, my take is that Richard Spencer indeed believes that those of white European descent are superior to those who are not. He doesn’t believe in the mixing of the races and believes that the so-called mixing has not worked well. Thus, he claims to have a long-term dream of an “ethnostate,” a territory set aside for people of European descent.

The piece on Reveal links to another article on Mother Jones, another far left smear merchant site. Among other things, the article in Mother Jones indicates that Spencer envisions a future for the United States along the lines of a “renewed Roman Empire,” a dictatorship where the main criteria for citizenship would be whiteness. Meet the White Nationalist Trying to Ride the Trump Train to Lasting Power.

While this Mother Jones article is replete with lies and half-truths, particularly about President Trump, the writing does not paint Richard Spencer as a violent or otherwise dangerous person. And if he were, I have no doubt that Mother Jones would get that in there somehow, or perhaps devote the entire piece to it. If he walked into a restaurant where I was dining, would I be scared that he would pull out a gun and start shooting? No. Would I want him seated at a table or booth next to me? No, again. If I were a non-white, how would I feel. I can’t answer that because I am white. But I think I would feel much the same way. Spencer has extreme weird philosophies that are not shared by most Americans. In other words, they are out of the mainstream of thought. But again, there is no indication that he is violent or dangerous. And for his statement in Reveal that he sees “the election of President Trump as a precursor to white identity politics becoming an overt and welcome part of mainstream conversation in America for the first time,” is a red herring. How many pot-smoking, anti-establishment former “long haired hippie-type,” baby-boomers saw the election of former President, Bill Clinton, as way to re-establish their sixties’ radicalism? How many supporters of former President, Barack Obama, felt that, as America’s first black president, even though he was only half-black, they could undeniably declare their hatred for the United States of America and be given credence?

I can’t envision the current White Nationalist/neo-Nazi movement as anything to quake and shake over. In Charlottesville, the group “Unite the Right” had a permit to protest both Friday night and Saturday. It wasn’t until Saturday when Antifa and Black Lives Matter got into the mix that things deteriorated and one woman was killed. Yes, “Unite the Right” carried tiki torches and shouted pro-Nazi rhetoric on Friday night, and did the same, sans the tiki torches on Saturday. Had these white nationalists been left alone to protest the removal of Robert E Lee’s statute and the renaming of that park, I firmly believe they would have “done their thing” and dispersed.

Antifa has participated in many demonstrations where violence and the destroying of property and the injuring human beings was intentional. So has Black Lives Matter. And to the left, these groups should be given accolades because they dared to take on white nationalists who were legally parading around and chanting slogans, but not destroying property or injuring other people.

The average liberal might say to me, “the white nationalists, while marching in Klan-like fashion and chanting pro-Nazi rhetoric, even though they were not destroying property or physically injuring people, were offending many people to the point where their victims could be emotionally damaged for life.” Cry me a river. While I certainly don’t desire to downplay that people can be damaged by emotional abuse, particularly when the abuse comes from a loved one such as a parent or a spouse, or by situations of constant, over the years, bullying by peers or classmates, a couple of hours of listening to chants where you might be the subject of those chants, especially when you can leave the scene and not listen or watch anymore, pales in comparison.

Is it a sin to hate, even if the hate doesn’t manifest itself in the form of physical violence? Absolutely. Is it a sin to offend someone/hurt someone’s feelings? Absolutely again. We’re all going to be judged on these things one fine day, though. In the meantime, why are we wasting all this media time on white nationalist groups when most people can’t name even one specific group, and violence collectively by these groups doesn’t really exist? When, on the other hand, groups such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter, the Black Panthers, ISIS, etc. have histories of destroying property and injuring people, but the left, including the MSM, and even some conservatives tout these groups as being admirable?

COLLEGE-EDUCATED WHITE WOMEN WHO VOTED FOR TRUMP

According to an article written by Jessica Chasmar in the Washington Times dated April 3, 2017, Tina Fey warns female Trump voters: His election will come back to haunt you, comedian and actress, Tina Fey, warned the college-educated white women who voted for President Trump to wake up and resist, because his presidency will eventually bring long-lasting consequences to their lives. Ms. Fey spoke about this, and the presidential election in an interview with ACLU executives during a celebrity Facebook Live fundraiser for the nonprofit this past Friday night (3/31).

Ms. Chasmar quotes the comedian/actress as saying: “A lot of this election was turned by, kind of, white college-educated women who now would maybe like to forget about this election and go back to watching HGTV. And I would want to urge them to, like, you can’t look away, because it doesn’t affect you this minute, but it’s going to affect you eventually.” Ms. Fey went on to say that it’s important for those women not to ignore “what is happening” now that the election is over.

First of all, Ms. Fey only directs her comments to white college-educated women. What about black college-educated women, Hispanic college-educated women, Asian college-educated women, etc.? Does she not feel as though these other college-educated women who may have voted for Donald Trump are not going to be “eventually affected” by his election to the presidency?

Much to my disappointment, there wasn’t much else to the article. I wanted Ms. Fey to address how the election of Donald Trump was going to negatively affect college-educated white women because I’m a college-educated white woman, who voted for Donald Trump, and I’ll also throw into the mix that I’m single.

As a single woman, regardless of education level or race, I have to support myself, which includes planning for my retirement. Donald Trump has promised us tax reform which, hopefully, will lower taxes for everyone, including the middle class, the wealthy, and businesses. It’s definitely in my best interest be allowed to keep as much of my paycheck as possible. Remember, I’m all I have. Furthermore, it’s the wealthy, the business owners who create jobs and hire people like me. Wouldn’t it be in my best interest if they got tax breaks also? I would have a better chance of getting hired. And when I do, I have a better chance of receiving improved benefits and salary increases. Squeezing the wealthy and the business owners, like Hillary wanted to do, would just make my chances of being laid off or the diminishing of my benefits greater. President Trump gets the nod on this one.

Also, as a single woman, it’s important for me to feel safe wherever I am…in my home, in my car, while I’m traveling, and while I’m in public places. The immediate past president, Barack Obama, demonized our nation’s local police forces, and Hillary Clinton was on track to continue to do so had she been elected president. During the Obama presidency, there was all sorts of discussion about limiting what the police could do and not do in their efforts to make our communities safer. Having a police force with the power to protect law-abiding citizens like me from the criminal element is essential to my well-being. President Trump and his administration, along with the GOP, are pro-law enforcement, Democrats don’t appear to be on the side of law enforcement. Another nod goes to President Trump.

While we have enough problems with domestic crime in the United States, since 9/11/2001, terrorist attacks on U.S. soil factor in as well. Plus, the Obama administration exacerbated the situation by not only allowing the rise of ISIS, the most brutal organization in the history of the planet, but by minimizing their danger, especially when it comes to attacks in the U.S. And ISIS is not the only Islamic terrorist organization out there. It goes without saying that my well-being is also affected by the state of the U.S. military. The Obama administration, along with most Democrat administrations generally enforce a weakening of our military. Another nod to President Trump.

The same logic can be applied to immigration policies. Allowing illegal aliens, many of them with criminal histories, to pour into the United States, diminishes the well-being of the single woman. Thus, the building of the Mexican border wall and improvement in vetting processes for non-U.S. citizens entering the country, are in the best interest of single-women. The nod goes to President Trump.

As a woman, not just a single college educated white woman, having access to quality health care is very important to her well-being. Obama and the Democrats certain screwed that one up for us. This single, college-educated white woman is working twelve to fourteen hours per day trying to make her small business not only profitable, but prosperous so she doesn’t have to depend on the government. In short, I want to make money. Unfathomably high health insurance premiums and deductibles forced on us by the Obama administration and the Democrats, with the same to look forward to in a Hilary Clinton administration is not helping women. In fact, it’s not helping men either.  The nod goes, once again, to guess who.

It’s a rare happening for liberals to actually take a break from hurling epithets and fraudulent accusations at those who disagree with them; and actually discuss relevant issues. When they do, they may bring up the equal work for equal pay topic regarding women allegedly being paid less than men for supposedly equal work. Legislation preventing this sort of discrimination was passed in 1963. I have written much on this topic in the past and won’t re-hash here, except to refer you to the previous paragraph where I sited that it was in a single woman’s best interest for taxes to be lower for everyone so that potential employers will prosper, resulting in better raises, benefits, etc. If a woman should find herself in an unfair situation, having a robust economy where jobs with better pay and benefits are available, certainly benefits her. Another nod to President Trump.

Even though Tina Fey was directing her comments toward white college-educated women, and I focused on single women in this piece, I don’t understand why she didn’t include other women. Why would it be any different for them? After reading this story in several other outlets, CNN and USA Magazine were the only publications that bothered to elaborate. And then, their elaborations didn’t amount to much. In fact, CNN only indicated that Ms. Fey remarked that the gains made by women over the last 100 years were under attack. And to that I say, “Exactly which of those gains are under attack?”

Ending this article feeling confused shouldn’t be a surprise to me. This college-educated white woman is a deplorable uneducated redneck. But wait…if Trump supporters are deplorable uneducated rednecks, I think Ms. Fey is the one confused.

THE DEBATES

The Republican presidential debates, sponsored by CNN, that took place on Wednesday, September 16, left me as confused as ever. I didn’t like the format and question whether or not CNN, who is no friend to Republicans/conservatives, did this on purpose to make the Republicans look stupid.

Big decisions about such things as going to war, raising or lowering taxes, large entitlement bills, etc. are not made by one person along is one minute while that person is on display. Those types of decisions take up to months of deliberation with trusted advisors. This is the main reason I’m not a fan of debates.

Missteps such as President George H.W. Bush looking at his watch during one of the presidential debates in 1992 and Mitt Romney giving way to Barak Obama on Benghazi can put nails into your coffin. Then we have a humorous one-liner where President Reagan promised not to exploit the opponents’ youth and inexperience. While I loved President Reagan’s response, one-liners such as the above, shouldn’t make a difference in a presidential race, or any political race for that matter.

You might have called the 9/16 debates the Jake Tapper show. Tapper took charge and hardly let the other two moderators speak. Some candidates got more air time than others with Donald Trump getting the most and Scott Walker getting the least. This shouldn’t happen, but I acknowledge that it’s hard to control with that many debaters.

I also want to know where the candidates stand on the issues, and don’t particularly care to delve into what someone on the campaign trail said about someone else and why they said it. After Donald Trump made a disparaging comment about Carly Fiorina’s looks, I was totally turned off by the advertisement Ms. Fiorina did afterwards where she talked about how she earned every one of her wrinkles. That was a waste of time, in my opinion. When asked about it during the debate, I thought Carly should have said that because this country is in such bad shape, we need to be focusing on the issues, not my looks and what Donald Trump said about my looks. Let’s move on.

Also, allowing candidates to jump in/interrupt the proceedings, in my opinion, was counter-productive. Some of the more reserved candidates, such as Dr. Ben Carson, were put at a disadvantage because they’re not bombastic. However, I was happy when Chris Christie interrupted the “you know whatting” contest between Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina about their careers. Governor Christie was right. They both had great careers, but a 55 year old out of work construction worker doesn’t want to hear about their career accolades.

All the talking heads were insistent that Carly Fiorina won the debate, whatever “won the debate” means. Maybe she did “win” it, but she didn’t help herself with me. After watching her for several months, she does come across as cold and calculating. Kind of like a conservative Hillary, maybe? I don’t know if I would go that far, but her demeanor does get on my nerves. I thought Governor Mike Huckabee did a good job, but no one is mentioning his name.

I was hoping that the debate would lead to a number of Republicans dropping out of the race, then it would be easier on the American people to make choices and the debates would be more helpful.

Four years ago, there were so many Republican candidate debates that I grew weary of them and quit watching. Will that happen this year? Probably not because as a political blogger, I have to be aware of what is taking place.

Having said all of the above, I still think debates are over-rated and would love to ignore them, but I can’t.
