THE MORNING AFTER

I had better get busy with this article because even though it’s still the morning after, it’s getting close to being the “afternoon after.” I certainly didn’t expect Donald Trump to win the presidency. From all accounts and media outlets, including Fox News, Mr. Trump’s chances of winning were estimated to be slim to even none. He was drug through the mud like no political candidate had ever been. Some Democrats, including First Lady, Michelle Obama, were expressing utter shock at what he was overheard saying on the Access Hollywood tape, even though fowl-mouthed rapper Jay Z and his wife Beyoncé are included among those in the Obama inner circle.

In the short time I’ve been at my desk and perused social media, I have seen so much vitriol and hatred coming from Democrats directed at Donald Trump and his supporters. I’m also seeing some Democrats express disbelief that their gal, Hillary lost. “Oh, but she’s the smartest, most caring woman in the world.” Get real, she screws up everything she touches. Hey, Democrats, not everyone agrees with you. Here’s a list of things, not in any particular order.

  • Not everyone thinks government is all powerful, all loving, and always perfect. Some of us believe that the private sector does a lot of things much better than government and should be left to do so. That was one of the principles on which this country was founded, and many of us believe in this 240-year-old principle.
  • Not everyone thinks that it’s okay to kill the unborn just because carrying that child to term is inconvenient for the mother. Science has proven that upon conception that fertilized egg takes on human characteristics such as brain and heart activity.
  • Many of us respect the armed forces and feel that a strong military is necessary to the well-being of our nation and the safety of our citizens.
  • There are those of us who respect our nation’s local law enforcement. And while there are certainly “bad cops” out there, most our policemen and women are fine people who deserve our respect as they work from day to day to protect us from criminal activity and assist us when necessary.
  • We live in the last half of the second decade of the twenty-first century. Slavery ended in 1865 and additional civil rights legislation was pass over a half-century ago. While racism exists and continues to exist until Christ returns and sets up his 1000 year reign here on earth, most of us believe in and have worked to established equal opportunity, but realize that with equal opportunity, we cannot guarantee equal outcome.
  • Most of us believe that we have the right to exercise our freedom of speech, especially when it comes to holding our government officials accountable; and don’t like the way you have many hurled the “racist” accusation at those who have disagreed with the policies of the first black president, Barak Obama. You have also come up with the ridiculous notions that the American flag is racist, and that chanting “USA” is racist. It seems that whenever you can’t decide on what to call those with whom you disagree, you, with reckless abandon, just hurl the term racist. In fact, you make up the definition of racism to suit your needs of the moment. Again, many of us just don’t like that.
  • Many of us question the existence of man-made climate change, and there are many articles written by respected scientists who have refuted this theory. However, Democrats have consistently hurled insults and called those who didn’t agree with them unflattering names. Again, not everyone agrees with you on this issue and many of us were fearful of the ridiculous regulations that were being crammed down our throats in the name of climate change.
  • Many of us don’t agree with you in your efforts to soak the rich and screw over businesses. These are the entities who issue our paychecks. When our employers prosper, we, the middle class, tend to do better.
  • Most of us don’t want government-run healthcare. We warned if the dangers when the ACA was being crammed down our throats using every legislative trick in the book. Our nation’s healthcare system is a mess. Democrats this is your fault. You own it; lock, stock, and barrel. Now it looks like it will be up to the Republicans and the Trump administration to fix it. Thanks a lot, Dems!
  • Most of us want to win the war on Islamic terrorism and believe we need to define the problem in order to solve it. We believe that ISIS is the twenty-first century Third Reich and must be destroyed, and never allowed in this country.
  • Immigration: You Democrats have never acknowledged that there is a difference between legal and illegal immigration. When someone says they’re against illegal immigration, you make no distinction between legal and illegal and hurl the xenophobia accusation. We want illegal immigration diminished and feel that a wall on the Mexican border will go a long ways in solving this problem.
  • A lot of us would like to be able to defend ourselves from an attacker either before or after the police are called. We’d rather not have the police come, tag our dead bodies, and call the morgue to come and get us.
  • Most of us want to maintain Israel as a trusted ally. If fact, it’s necessary. God has indicated that he will punish those who turn their backs on Israel.

The above outlines many of the areas where the two major political parties disagree, and as I’ve been saying all along, liberals, Democrats, progressives, or whatever it is they want to call themselves these days can’t seem to believe that anyone could possibly have different view. And if they have different views, they’re stupid and evil. Furthermore, Democrats don’t appear to believe in free speech unless they agree with the speech.

I’ve been called a sore winner this morning, and that’s probably right. I want to lash out. I want to do the same things to Democrats that they did to me eight years ago and have continued to do to me and other conservatives since then. I’m a flawed individual, but grateful that those flaws have been paid for.

MORE THOUGHTS ON COLIN KAEPERNICK

The following is a continuation of my September 2, 2016 article about the San Francisco 49er quarterback, Colin Kaepernick who refuses to stand while the national anthem is played before San Francisco football games. Some of the following is re-hash, but I’ve also injected new areas of thought.

There’s several pieces to the Colin Kaepernick saga. First of all, he does have the right to sit or kneel while the national anthem is played before San Francisco 49ers football games. Plus everyone else has a right to their opinion about it. Colin is employed by the San Francisco 49ers organization and while he is acting in the course and scope of his employment by San Francisco, he has to do what they say. As his employer, the 49ers’ organization, in my opinion, should tell him to stand. If he doesn’t, he’s out the door. But the NFL and its associated teams have become very leftist over the years, and I guess it didn’t occur to them to just simply tell Mr. Kaepernick, “Yes, you will stand for the national anthem.” But neither the NFL nor the San Francisco 49ers are going to tell him that. So, we’re moving on.

When CK says that American is a nation that oppresses blacks and other people of color, my initial thoughts were just how is happening. Civil Rights legislation was passed in 1964. Subsequently, there was the implementation of Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society in the mid-sixties, where we were told that for a few dollars more a month from taxpayers, we would be able to eradicate poverty among blacks as well as whites. Following the implementation of the Great Society, Affirmative Action legislation was passed and programs were implemented whereby blacks had the opportunity to achieve at the same level as whites without meeting the same requirements as whites. In the late seventies, under the Carter administration, the Community Reinvestment Act was passed which basically allowed banks to lend money to buy houses to people who were not financially able to qualify for a loan to purchase a home. This allowed many blacks to obtain loans to purchase homes.

But wait, these programs haven’t worked. These programs have done nothing to help blacks and other people of color. Instead it could be said that these programs have oppressed blacks and other people of color. Maybe Colin Kaepernick has a point. But I don’t think this is what he and other liberals meant. The above programs plus the rise to power and prominence of teachers’ unions in this country have all contributed to the increased crime rates, increased poverty rates, the dissolution of the nuclear family, and the failing schools which are all prevalent in the black community.

In the second decade of the 21st century, over a half century since Civil Rights legislation was passed and signed into law, terms like “black community” shouldn’t exist except for historical documentation purposes.

One of the programs I cited as detrimental to blacks and other people of color is Affirmative Action, according to the conservative website, Wing Nut Gal, in an article dated October 29, 2014, “Affirmative action is one of the most racist and bigoted practices in the United States of America today. It says to minorities that you’re not good enough to make it in the “white man’s world.” You’re inferior. And because you’re inferior, we’re going to help you because we’re your friends.”  To read the entire article visit The Racist, Bigoted Policy of Affirmative Action.

In the next few days, I will be examining other policies, birthed by liberals that are serving to oppress blacks and other people of color. And you know something, these policies aren’t helping us white folks out much either.

LIBERAL TRAVESTIES

In 1964, President Lyndon Johnson signed into law major civil rights legislation. This piece of legislation ended segregation in public places and ended employment discrimination on basis of race, religion, color, sex, or national origin. This piece of legislation lifted the barriers for minorities, particularly blacks, and gave them the right to apply for college admission, housing, employment, etc. They could no longer be denied the right to pursue such things.

In 1970, the women’s movement began and the term, “women’s liberation,” became a household phrase. I’ll be the first to admit that I probably wouldn’t be sitting her at this computer trying to make my business profitable if it hadn’t been for the women’s movement which lifted the barriers and allowed women to compete for jobs that were traditionally held by men and that’s a good thing. I have been accused of taking advantage of the women’s movement and then being a traitor to my gender.

Working to open the doors for those who had been traditionally is a good and noble cause. However, liberals can’t seem to stop and enjoy their victories, they insist on pushing the envelope, and that pushing of the envelope is the reason that we’re in the mess we’re in today. Instead of, after getting the barriers lifted, saying, okay brothers and sisters, the world is your oyster, go out there and get that education, get those jobs, get that house in an upscale subdivision; they continued on, to this day, with their rhetoric. Racism, sexism, you would think that no progress had been made since the barriers were lifted.

I once attended a meeting for a women’s group hoping to get some pointers on how to succeed in the workplace. However, all the women did was trash men and talk about how horrible men were. Sadly, I think this is what it’s all about. It’s not about succeeding, it’s about declaring war on men, war on whites, war on heterosexuals.

After signing civil rights legislation into law, President Lyndon Johnson, instead of encouraging blacks to mix it up, apply for that college, apply for that job, etc., showed his disdain by insisting that blacks weren’t good enough to prosper in the white man’s world and therefore needed extra help. Supposedly, he said, “We’ll have all of these n*****s voting Democrat.” What a disgusting racist statement! Victory should have been his, but he had to push the envelope. While blacks are certainly prominent in our world today, far too many are on the welfare rolls and in prisons. Instead of letting the blacks get out there and compete, then succeed, Lyndon Johnson relegated them to another type of oppression that some may argue is much worse than segregation.

And then there’s the women’s movement. Women have jumped in and done very well. At first, a woman had to be just like a man to be accepted. Baking cookies and taking them to the office was a “no-no.” Now, that’s perfectly okay to do. I enjoy making my Christmas fudge and taking it to the office. Also, after the women’s movement, women were discouraged from accepting traditional women’s jobs such as teacher, secretary, and nurse. It seemed that you were considered second class if you pursued these occupations. I’ve had what were previously considered men’s jobs for a while and frankly I’m ready to do something feminine for a change. So, I’ve started writing romance novels and I enjoy doing that.

So, liberals have screwed over blacks and women. We’d all be much better off today if they had disappeared off the face of this earth after lifting the barriers for blacks and women.

Thanks to liberals, our healthcare system is messed up. Most of us who don’t have health insurance through an employer have had to procure insurance through “the marketplace.” My premiums have increased by 50% and I’m getting less and paying more.

Thanks to liberals, we no longer have free speech in this country. Half the time, I’m scared of what to say. Liberals change the definition of racism and sexism, sometimes as often as hourly, to suit their whims. Screwing up because of ignorance is no excuse. If you don’t tow the liberal line, they’ll do whatever they can to destroy you. You might not be hauled off to a gulag, but you can be destroyed in other ways.

When it comes to foreign policy, we’ve turned our back on our allies, especially our main ally in the Middle East, Israel. Now we’re negotiating with Iran, a country that sponsors terrorism, with regard to their quest to possess nuclear weapons. So, we promise to lift the sanctions and they guarantee that they will halt the building of nuclear weapons. Also, Iran is supposedly going to allow regular inspections. Due to my limited vocabulary, I cannot express the egregiousness of this.

Of course, the liberals have a goal to take away our right to bear arms and protect ourselves. I guess we’re supposed to let the perpetrator(s) attack us. If we’re fortunate enough to be able to call 911, then we have wait on the police.

Our borders are porous and the liberals want to take from American citizens and give to the illegal aliens. Of course, we have to pay for all of this. The goal is to make all of them citizens. Of course, they’ll vote Democrat.

We have a President who implements executive orders when he knows that Congress won’t give him what he wants. In other words, we’ve turned into a dictatorship. For those liberals who love this President and think the means justifies the end, you are wrong, dead wrong. When this country was founded, three branches of government were established with no branch being superior to the other branches. A system of checks and balances was established. This President has made a mockery of that.

As I write this, I’m watching Baltimore burn. The current President is responsible for this. I agree with Kevin Jackson of blacksphere.com, he created the conditions for violence. His goal, the destruction of American, whether from within or without remains on schedule and it gets worse every day.

Our country is a mess and as I watch and read the news, I sometimes can’t believe that this is the United States of America.
