OBAMA SENDS WARNINGS TO CHRISTIANS

According to allenbwest.com, in an article written by Michelle Jesse, the current president, even as the Pope was just barely off the ground, departing the U.S., took the opportunity to make his most strident statement yet about limits to Americans’ religious freedom. He made one point crystal clear in “his America, LGBT rights trump religious liberty.

According to Breitbart, as Pope Francis few back to Rome, President Obama issued a stern warning to Christians, warning them that their attempts to assert their religious liberty to oppose gay rights would fail. In a dramatic speech at a LGBT fundraiser in New York City this past Sunday night, the president indicated that we have to say clearly that our religious freedom doesn’t grant us the freedom to deny our fellow Americans their constitutional rights. This event was a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee and was specifically billed as an LGBT gala.

During his speech, Obama asserted that his administration was respecting what he described as “genuine concerns” of religious institutions, but suggested that Republicans were using the issue just to earn more votes, as they did in 2004. The current president went on to assert that America had left the leaders of the Republican Party behind.

Also, in the speech, he ridiculed Dr. Ben Carson for suggesting that “prison turns you gay” and added that another Republican candidate had boasted of his introduction of a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage, likely referring to Senator Ted Cruz. Alluding to Governor Mike Huckabee, the president mocked a candidate who said that “Americans should just disobey the Supreme Court’s ruling entirely.

Ms. Jesse goes on to write that the president’s speech will provide another rallying point for liberals eager to demonstrate their “openness” and “tolerance” for anything except certain religions. I’ll go a little farther than that and say that it will create multiple rallying points for liberals to disparage Christianity plus conservatism.

Liberals/Democrats/Progressives or whatever you want to call them, in their quest to fully control our lives via big government, are constantly asking for snippets limiting our freedoms. “Just give us this, they say,” but they never stop. Small chunks are our freedom are bitten off by liberals in termite fashion. Then one day we wake up and have lost our most fundamental freedoms, including the freedom to practice our faith.

People laugh at me when I express concern that one day we may not be able to say a prayer in a restaurant before eating or give the impression that we’re praying in any other public place.

Ms. Jesse feels that if there’s one thing we might thank Obama for, it’s that his blatant disregard for this republic’s founding principles and due process has ignited a mobilizing anger within many Americans who had previously been disengaged or disconnected from the electoral process.

Is the current President a Christian? He says he is and has claimed to be a person of faith. However, that’s not for me or any of us to judge. He, like all of us, will one day be judged by The Almighty.

Because we studied it in school and were brought up with the knowledge that we would always be free to practice our religion or our faith in the United States of America, it should be alarming to anyone that the President of the United States is now dis-allowing Americans that right.

Overseas, Christians are being jailed and physically tortured for their beliefs. Here in the United States, we get called names and denigrated. At the extreme, we may have to close business or resign from a job. While the above is bad enough, will there come a time when Americans will be faced with imprisonment, torture, and execution for practicing their Christian faith?

Just a short time ago, if a business refused to do business with a potential customer, the customer went down the street to find another business to do business with. Not anymore, though. If someone refuses your business, you have the right to destroy that business and ruin the lives of the owners and perhaps the employees.

In November 2014, we elected enough Republicans to take control of the Senate, along with enough Republicans to maintain control of the House of Representatives. Those Republicans were supposed to put a grinding halt on the evil things this current administration was doing. Hasn’t happened, though. The administration is still doing evil things.

This country was settled by those seeking religious freedom and our roots are in religious freedom. Are we allowing the current President and his liberal henchmen to destroy this? It sure looks that way.

HAS THE DEMOCRAT PARTY BECOME THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF THE USA?

Former liberal (you might even say Marxist) turned conservative David Horowitz has published a ten-volume compendium of his writings on leftism, The Black Book of the American Left in November 2013. In a November 2013 speech at the Heritage Foundation, Mr. Horowitz described his transition from left to right, and discussed the short comings of a conservative movement unwilling to deal with the ugly realities of what the American left represents.

In his speech, Horowitz labeled himself “monomaniacal” in his focus on the left and its relation to communism. His parents self-identified themselves as progressives. The agenda was a Soviet America and the slogan of the communist party in those days was peace, jobs, democracy. Something like the liberals describe themselves in the 21st century.

The theme of Horowitz’s speech that day was how the communists had taken over the Democrat party. Horowitz goes on to point out that F. Scott Fitzgerald in The Great Gatsby describes the rich as people who break things and leave them for others to clean up. He thinks that’s a great description of the left and so do I. Remember what mess the individuals in the Clinton Administration left the White House in for the Bush administration personnel to clean up?

Horowitz goes on to indicate that the modern left had learned stealth from their failures in the sixties and that’s why they have succeeded now. Furthermore, Horowitz has pointed out that the right/conservatives have failed to acknowledge that reality. With respect to Obamacare, Horowitz railed against the language used by the left: “single-payer.” Instead, he said, “it is communism,” pointing out that it was state ownership of the means of production. He further indicated that the left hates the Constitution because Madison designed it to thwart the left.

Horowitz then analyzed what he claimed were the four features of leftist mentality. First, he said, the left and the right are on opposite sides for the fundamental divide of the modern age. He feels that the left believes that human beings are inherently good and infinitely malleable, and so can be shaped by proper state guidance. Conservative, by contrast, believe that human beings are responsible for social problems, and concentrating power in the hands of humans is dangerous.

I’m not sure whether I agree with Mr. Horowitz in the above paragraph. Actually, I think the left abhors human beings. They think that you as a human being are stupid to make your own decisions and need the “almighty” left to make you major decisions for you; decisions such as choosing you healthcare plans, choosing your retirement plan, choosing the food you eat, the care you drive, the type of dwelling in which you reside. I definitely think conservatives have a higher respect for their fellow human beings than liberals do.

Mr. Horowitz goes on to state that he feels that conservatives believe that human beings are responsible for social problems and concentrating power in the hand of humans in dangerous. Actually, we are all responsible for the social problems that plague this planet. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Concentrating power in the hand of humans is dangerous? I’m just going to have to leave this one. Who are we to award power to with respect to how we govern ourselves on this planet. Though, government should be by the people and for the people, not the state. Liberals favor a more powerful government and believe that big government can solve our problems. In other words, people exist for the government. Conservative believe that government exists for the people.

Liberals believe that leftism is a crypto-religion. According to Horowitz, they see themselves as a savior People who believe that redemption will take place in this life and I will be a part of it, adhere to the philosophies of Adolph Hitler, and Mao…that’s the American left.

Horowitz also said that the left was characterized by “alienation from this country. What weakens America is actually good. Horowitz cited the Obama administration’s eager withdrawal from Iraq as evidence of the proposition: Obama betrayed every American who gave their life for the people of Iraq. Horowitz also slammed the Obama administration with regard to Benghazi. He indicate d that Benghazi is the most shameful act in the history of the American presidency.

Finally, in his speech, Mr. Horowitz said that the American left lie and you cannot be a leftist without lying about the most basic strategic facts about who you are. He further indicates that we are within reach of a totalitarian state in the country and dark day are ahead.

The right has to put a stop to it, pure and simple.

This article is a summary of an article posted on Brietbart.com entitled, Horowitz at Heritage Foundation: The Communist Party is the Democratic Party. I extend my deepest appreciation to brietbart.com.

I HATE THE WORD HATE AND ITS DERIVITIVES

When I was growing up, I was taught that the word, “hate,” was a terrible word and should be used only sparingly. You shouldn’t say you hate somebody, you should say you don’t care for somebody. Instead of saying I hate beets, you should say, I don’t care for beets.

In this day and age, though, “hate” and its derivatives have become mainstream words. Now how did that happen? If you’re expecting me to say that the liberals started the “hate” phenomenon, you are correct!

Dating back to the 20th century, liberals embraced the emotion of “hate.” I can recall the animal rights group, PETA, throwing buckets of blood on people who dared wear a fur coat, made from real animal skins. I also remember these same folks attacking laboratories in protest of using animals for testing of various items from cosmetics to over-the-counter drugs. These people were vicious, letting nothing stop them in their quest to destroy anything and anyone who disagreed with them. Instead of approaching their so-called adversaries and seeking to address their concerns, they destroyed property that wasn’t theirs and made many enemies.

Shortly thereafter, we started hearing the term, “hate speech” thrown around by those on the left. While I’m not exactly sure what constitutes hate speech and the liberals change the definition on the fly, I believe it has something to do with what liberals consider disparaging talk with regard to minorities, particularly when it comes to race and sexual preference. Of course, any denigrating speech about southern, white, conservative, straight, Christians is perfectly allowable because southern, white, conservative, straight Christians are so terrible that they deserve it. This was the beginning of Orwellianism in this nation. While you couldn’t be prosecuted for what the liberals considered hate speech, you could certainly be slandered by those on the left.

In the nineties, we also started hearing about “hate crimes” and what constituted a hate crime. If a white person murdered a black person, was it because that person was black? And if so, you were guilty of what the liberals termed a “hate crime” and that “hate crime” was subject to punishment more severe than a “non-hate crime” murder. It became the job of the prosecution to get inside the assailants head and determine what he or she was thinking at the time of the murder. I do have trouble with the “hate crime” concept. How is murdering someone because you don’t like their skin color any different from murdering them for any other reason? Ask a liberal? Again, this is another Orwellian concept of attempting to get into one’s head and determine one’s thoughts. Your thoughts are not your own anymore.

Now, the word, “haters,” is used every day in common place situations. If someone is critical of your efforts, that person is a hater. Of course, liberals commonly accuse conservatives of being haters if they don’t agree with the liberal philosophy of governing or disagree with the current liberal president’s policies. If you’re not for government run healthcare, you hate the sick; if you’re against entitlement spending, you hate the poor; if you’re against affirmative action, you hate minorities; and the list goes on.

One thing that particularly annoys me about liberals and their love affair with the word “hate” and its derivatives, is the way the accuse you of being a hater if you don’t like the current president. Look at how many liberals hated George W. Bush and said terrible things about him. But just let a conservative say he or she doesn’t agree with the current president’s policies, the liberal automatically label him or her as a hater and a racist. They don’t even attempt to engage in a political dialogue.

I made a comment once that it was Democrats that actually looked down on women and advocated paying for all birth control methods for all women because women couldn’t control their libidos. For this comment, I was accused of hating all government programs and those who were recipients of those government programs including Medicare, Medicaid, SSI, etc. Talk about a stretch! So, if you disagree with one government entitlement program, you’re accused by liberals of hating all entitlement programs and those individuals who are recipients of those programs.

If you come to the conclusion that it’s actually the liberals who are haters, you are right. They invented the concepts of hate-speech, hate crimes, and don’t hesitate to call those who disagree with them haters. I live in central Alabama, yes central Alabama and never have I head the current president called the N-word (that would be hate-speech to the liberals). My fellow Republicans do not agree with his policies and most don’t like his disrespect for the American people. His wife is not a favorite of a lot of folks around here; but the root of their dislike is the comments she made to the effect that this was the first time she had ever been proud of her country when her husband became the Democratic nominee for president prior to the 2008 presidential elections.

Liberals don’t want to hear any of this, but they are the actual haters in this nation. The depths of their hatred towards the poor, the middle class, and minorities is so profound that their goals are to keep these people “in their place” by controlling every aspect of their lives. They call the rest of us haters in order to direct the attention away from themselves.

They will not stop until they have control over all of the people they hate, including the poor, the middle class, minorities, Christians, and white people. Should we even try to stop them? One day, we will have to in order to maintain the American way of life. Drastic measures may have to be employed. Are we willing to do what is necessary?

THE TERM ‘OCCUPY’ AND OTHER THINGS

There’s a new liberal Facebook page out there: Occupy Healthcare. I haven’t checked to see if there is a real website by that name, but at this point it doesn’t really matter. The initial “occupy” was the Occupy Wall Street movement in which fringe liberals set up camps in various cities and proceeded to destroy property and commit other acts of debauchery. While it was fringe liberals that were involved, mainstream liberals were sympathetic to their cause. But just let a Tea Party rally take place where a sign or two was in poor taste, and all liberals sent stark raving mad calling those who participated and/or advocated the Tea Party’s efforts anything and everything.

Six months to one year ago, I began seeing Facebook posts from a Facebook page called “Occupy Democrats.” Most of what I was seeing on my news feed was photographs depicting alleged facts that were not facts, but gross misrepresentations. Most, I could pick apart with very little research. This annoyed my liberal Facebook friends. Maybe they should have done a little research before sharing the post.

I’ve just seen a post from a new liberal Facebook page called Occupy Healthcare. The first photo from Occupy Healthcare that appeared on my newsfeed stated the following: They talk about this Great Recession as if it fell out of the sky, like, “Oh, my goodness, where did it come from?” It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card, to at the same time put a prescription drug benefit on the credit card, a trillion dollar tax cut for the very wealthy. It was there. I voted against them. I said, no, we can’t afford that. And now all of a sudden, these guys are so seized with the concern about the debt that they created.” VP Joe Biden.

This was said by Vice President Joe Biden about 2012 Vice Presidential candidate, Paul Ryan. Let’s take the “low hanging fruit” first. The Democrats were actively pushing a prescription drug plan. Wasn’t Al Gore’s mother-in-law having to eat dog food in order to pay for her prescription drugs? Democrats, you demanded it and accused those who were against it as haters of the elderly. You lost on that one. Let’s move on.

You are also griping about Congressman Ryan voting to put two wars on a credit card. Have you forgotten 9/11/2001? Are you suggesting that we not go after those who attacked us? Maybe we should have been more diplomatic in finding out why radical Islam hates us so much and do what we can to appease them. Yeah, right! If it were up to you liberals, we’d be under Sharia law at this very moment.

Then there was the Iraq war. You claimed Bush lied, people died. Well, former President Bill Clinton left office advocating regime change in Iraq. Have you liberals forgotten about that? Congress and the Bush administration had access to the same intelligence that indicated Saddam Hussein did possess weapons of mass destruction. President Bush went to Congress to get approval before invading Iraq. Again, liberals, have you forgotten about that? I suggest you do a little research, but you won’t. You’ll continue to spew your venomous lies knowing the liberal media has your back.

Tax cuts for the wealthy? OH PULEAZE! Every time a Republican proposes a tax cut for those who pay taxes, it’s a tax cut for the wealthy. I get so tired of hearing this old rhetoric. Tax cuts are for those who actually pay taxes, but you liberals seem to think that everyone who lives and breathes within the boundaries of the United States of America should receive some sort of financial benefit.

As for adding to the national debt, the current President has added more to the national debt than all past presidents combined. Yes, President Bush, to my consternation did add to the national debt, but not hear as much as your guy, Obama.

Moving right along, last week, a website, joeforamerican.com posted an article entitled: Greatest Hoax of the 21st Century! 98% Scientists do not Believe in Man-Made Climate Change! On website, there is a little image that says, “Joe the Plumber.” Remember Joe, the Plumber! Liberals, in liberal fashion hate him because he had the audacity to ask presidential candidate, Barak Obama, a difficult question regarding candidate Obama’s position on re-distribution of wealth. Following Joe’s questioning of candidate, Obama, Joe the plumber, who did have some skeletons in his closet was exposed by a city clerk in Cleveland who was a supporter of Obama and a contributor to his campaign.

After I posted this article on Facebook, a liberal disparaged the article, which quoted factual statistics, because the site may have been somehow related to someone they hate, Joe the Plumber.

Okay, liberals. You continually indicated that you’re champions of the working man, the middle class, and the low income earners. Shouldn’t you at least read this article? If indeed man-made climate change is a hoax, you should be glad. You should back away from your goal of snatching us off of inexpensive, reliable fossil fuels and putting us in a world where we are totally dependent upon your green energy which is costly and unreliable.

Yes, we should continue our research into alternate forms of energy with a goal that what we define as green energy will be reliable and cost effective in the future. But to refuse to acknowledge different opinions about man-made climate change, and your avocation of the immediate elimination of fossil fuels which benefit middle and lower income individuals is proving that you liberals are bigoted and look down your noses at the poor and the middle class.

So, preach your big government and your desire to controls us peons because we’re too stupid to make our own decisions about our own lives. But don’t ever tell us that you’re champions of the lower and middle income Americans. I’m poised to rip you to shreds should you dare try.

THE DEBATES

The Republican presidential debates, sponsored by CNN, that took place on Wednesday, September 16, left me as confused as ever. I didn’t like the format and question whether or not CNN, who is no friend to Republicans/conservatives, did this on purpose to make the Republicans look stupid.

Big decisions about such things as going to war, raising or lowering taxes, large entitlement bills, etc. are not made by one person along is one minute while that person is on display. Those types of decisions take up to months of deliberation with trusted advisors. This is the main reason I’m not a fan of debates.

Missteps such as President George H.W. Bush looking at his watch during one of the presidential debates in 1992 and Mitt Romney giving way to Barak Obama on Benghazi can put nails into your coffin. Then we have a humorous one-liner where President Reagan promised not to exploit the opponents’ youth and inexperience. While I loved President Reagan’s response, one-liners such as the above, shouldn’t make a difference in a presidential race, or any political race for that matter.

You might have called the 9/16 debates the Jake Tapper show. Tapper took charge and hardly let the other two moderators speak. Some candidates got more air time than others with Donald Trump getting the most and Scott Walker getting the least. This shouldn’t happen, but I acknowledge that it’s hard to control with that many debaters.

I also want to know where the candidates stand on the issues, and don’t particularly care to delve into what someone on the campaign trail said about someone else and why they said it. After Donald Trump made a disparaging comment about Carly Fiorina’s looks, I was totally turned off by the advertisement Ms. Fiorina did afterwards where she talked about how she earned every one of her wrinkles. That was a waste of time, in my opinion. When asked about it during the debate, I thought Carly should have said that because this country is in such bad shape, we need to be focusing on the issues, not my looks and what Donald Trump said about my looks. Let’s move on.

Also, allowing candidates to jump in/interrupt the proceedings, in my opinion, was counter-productive. Some of the more reserved candidates, such as Dr. Ben Carson, were put at a disadvantage because they’re not bombastic. However, I was happy when Chris Christie interrupted the “you know whatting” contest between Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina about their careers. Governor Christie was right. They both had great careers, but a 55 year old out of work construction worker doesn’t want to hear about their career accolades.

All the talking heads were insistent that Carly Fiorina won the debate, whatever “won the debate” means. Maybe she did “win” it, but she didn’t help herself with me. After watching her for several months, she does come across as cold and calculating. Kind of like a conservative Hillary, maybe? I don’t know if I would go that far, but her demeanor does get on my nerves. I thought Governor Mike Huckabee did a good job, but no one is mentioning his name.

I was hoping that the debate would lead to a number of Republicans dropping out of the race, then it would be easier on the American people to make choices and the debates would be more helpful.

Four years ago, there were so many Republican candidate debates that I grew weary of them and quit watching. Will that happen this year? Probably not because as a political blogger, I have to be aware of what is taking place.

Having said all of the above, I still think debates are over-rated and would love to ignore them, but I can’t.
