THE ROY MOORE DELIMMA

Yesterday, November 9, 2017, the Washington Post ran a story where a woman claims that Alabama Senate candidate, Roy Moore, a Republican, initiated a sexual encounter with her when she was fourteen and he was thirty-two. The woman’s name is Leigh Corfman. Three other women interviewed by the Washington Post in recent weeks say that candidate Moore pursued them when they were between the ages of sixteen and eighteen, but none of these women say that Moore forced them into any sort of relationship or sexual contact.

The senatorial candidate has denied the allegations and alleges this is a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the left-leaning Washington Post.

As soon as I read this, I knew the candidate’s haters were going to come out of the woodwork. Even though Alabama is a Republican/conservative stronghold, liberals do live here and yes, they are liars, hypocrites, haters, and bigots in the same manner as Democrats throughout the nation.

Let’s assume first that Judge Moore did commit this heinous act. Everyone except a few “fringe” believe that the candidate should step down. Someone with this type of character and past does not belong in the United States Senate, or any public service capacity for that matter.

I’m a Christian which means I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who suffered and died, taking on my sins and the sins of the world, and was resurrected from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, Almighty. According to one of my Bible Study teachers, it doesn’t mean that I don’t sin, but it means that I hopefully sin less.

As a committed conservative and yes, Republican, I’ve often thought about what I would do if faced with the choice of choosing to vote for a candidate who shared my political views, but who was severely lacking in character, or choosing one who was diametrically opposite to me regarding current political issues. Judge Moore’s opponent, Doug Jones, is a liberal Democrat who aligns with the DNC on all issues, including abortion and believes that a woman has the right to kill her unborn baby right up until the time of birth. Once the baby has traveled through the birth canal, he’s an advocate for that baby’s life, but not before.  His values are not my values, and I believe having him in the Senate could jeopardize the Trump presidency and subvert the path we’re currently on for making America great again.

The election of Doug Jones will narrow the Republican Senate majority. Then Senate has already killed the repeal and replace of Obamacare and threatens to kill much needed tax reform. These huge pieces of legislation have direct effects on every man, woman, and child in this country. Without these reforms many, many Americans will be damaged extensively. Having Doug Jones in the Senate spell disaster for the American people.

I don’t’ know. I can’t possibly solve this issue myself. At times like this, I need the Bible, I need Jesus, I need direction that can only come from God. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of heaven.” God is in control, and God will give you direction if you sincerely ask for that direction and have it in your heart to follow his direction. I need God and so do you.

Having said the above with all sincerity, I’m now flipping to the facts. Judge Roy Moore has been accused of having inappropriate behavior with a fourteen-year-old girl in 1979. He denies the allegations. It’s the Judge’s word against that of the Washington Post and the alleged victim. Will we know the truth before election day, December 12? Probably not, since there’s so little time left.

In the United States of American you are innocent until proven guilty, unless you are a conservative and one who disagrees with the ideology of liberalism. If the left thinks you’re guilty, you’re guilty. Even if the left thinks you’re not guilty, but wants you to be guilty, you are still guilty.

The left has rushed to judgement many times, and has been wrong most of those times. Treyvon Martin, “hands up, don’t shoot,” Michael Brown, the Duke Lacrosse team members, the Cambridge police, Freddie Gray, Richard Jewel, etc. all serve as examples of the left being wrong. In their rush to judgement, the left has ruined the lives of many. If the allegations against Judge Moore and true, then he deserves to live the rest of his life out as a miserable old man who hopefully will  repent and get his heart in the right place. If the allegations are not true, he deserves a shot at becoming a Senator from Alabama and continuing his career of public service.

The Democrats, though, are going to do their best to disparage Judge Roy Moore and ruin his life, even if he is exonerated. Do the Democrats care if they ruin someone’s life, even if ruining a life is unjustified? Of course not. They’re all about hate and the ruining of lives, especially those who do not toe their leftist line.

In addition to the accusation against Judge Moore, not, at present provable, the timing of the Washington Post article is questionable. Roy Moore has been in the public light many times before his current run for the Senate. Why have these allegations not come out sooner? Ms. Corfman claims that she was scared to come out with her story until now? Until now, just before a very big Senate race that could play a large role in shaping the future of the United States?  Until now, when this country is more ideologically divided than ever, and a sitting president is the target of more hate and vitriol than any of us have ever witnessed in our lifetimes, she decides to tell her story?

In addition to Ms. Corfman, two other women have stated that candidate Moore pursued them romantically when they were teenagers and Moore was thirty. These women, unlike Ms. Corfman indicated that no inappropriate touching was involved when they were on dates with the Judge. One of these women is Debbie Wesson Gibson who says she was seventeen when Moore romantically pursued her. Ms. Gibson is a Democrat and a supporter of Doug Jones. Her picture with former Vice President Joe Biden is currently making the social media rounds. This picture was taken a few weeks ago when the Vice President was in Birmingham stumping for Democrat candidate, Doug Jones. Now, allegations, a month before the election, are being circulated about Roy Moore. How did this come together, all wrapped up in a neat little package?

The story here is that Democrats are liars who have no remorse about lying to get what they want. If those lies are determined to be lies in the weeks and months ahead, who cares, as long as their desired results are achieved. Do they care if their prize was predicated on lies? Of course not, Democrats have no sense of decency. Do they care if their lies ruin the lives of others? They don’t.

Are we still living in the “land of the free and the home of the brave?”

LYING WITH A PURPOSE

Trial lawyers, while trying cases, often utilize a slick trick to sway a jury. An attorney for one side will ask the witness an improper question, knowing the opposing attorney will object and the objection will be sustained. Even though the witness was not allowed to answer the question, the jury heard the question and can’t possibly un-hear it.

Democrats, in a concerted effort to destroy the Donald Trump presidency constantly lie about the president, his administration, Republicans in general, and Trump supporters. They lie, they know they’re lying, and they don’t care that they’re lying.

Not all citizens are as politically astute as I am, and my readers are. They’re clueless when it comes to current events and politics, only getting what little knowledge they have from snippets of news they hear in passing. They may watch part of the evening network news before tuning in to their favorite sitcoms and dramas on TV after eating dinner. Then it’s off to bed. Rinse and repeat.

It’s these folks that liberals are targeting. The liberal media, including the networks, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe, etc. run a story that everyone knows is a lie. So, what, if it’s a lie. They want the folks I described above to hear it or read it and think,” Gee, this president is an awful person to say the things he says.” Two or three days later the truth come out that the president didn’t actually say that, or what he said was taken out of context. A retraction may be run correcting the record, or not.

The Democrats have achieved their goal. People like I described above heard the original story, but there’s a good chance they didn’t hear the truth.

Like I’ve been saying for years, Democrats don’t care about the truth. They tell lies and they know they are telling lies. It’s okay, though. They have each other’s’ backs. They have their own little lying clique. No one inside the clique is going to call them out or say the false story should not have been run.

Yes, conservatives and conservative media are going to call them out. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Tucker Carlson, all the way down to Nancy Graham are going to investigate and obtain the truth. But how many of the people I described above follow Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Tucker Carlson, etc? Virtually none. And because Rush, Sean, Bill, Tucker, etc. are continuous targets for the left to direct their venomous hate, most of the above folks would rather be struck dead than spend even a few minutes listening the these talking heads. They have no interest in pursuing other angles, it’s time for “Dancing with the Stars.”

WE SHOULD BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID

In totalitarian regimes, citizens don’t have freedom of speech. Instead, speech is controlled by the government. Furthermore, you can be prosecuted for criticizing government officials, as well as uttering words forbidden by the government. In most totalitarian regimes, you can even be imprisoned, tortured, and executed. People who live in countries such as Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Iran, Russia, and China current live and are subject such imprisonment, torture, and execution. Cambodia, Nazi Germany and other eastern European countries are past examples of totalitarianism.

This isn’t happening in the United States of America, because we are the United States of America, “land of the free, and the home of the brave.” At least it’s not happening yet. During the Obama administration, even though my writings were public and severely criticized Obama, his administration, and many other liberals/Democrats in government, I was never scared that I would be drug out of bed in the middle of the night and taken to a gulag, never to be heard from again. One more time, this is the United States of America, “land of the free, and home of the brave.” I can say what I want, write what I want without fear. Thus, we shouldn’t be afraid or should we?

Imprisonment, torture, and execution are not taking place today, but other types of punishment for saying or expressing opinions that don’t toe the liberal line are. The owners of an Oregon bakery were hit with damages in the amount of $135,000 for refusing to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple (Huffington Post, 7/2/2/15). The loss of $135,000 can certainly put a dent in your financial status, if not render you financially ruined. Mozilla co-founder Brendan Eich was forced to resign his position as CEO because of his $1,000 contribution to support a 2008 gay marriage ban in California (USA Today, 4/4/2014). An eighteen year old nanny lost her job after saying she would vote ‘no’ in a same sex marriage survey (Huffington Post, 9/20/017). The Washington Supreme Court punished Barronelle Stutzman, who operates Arlene’s Flowers in Richland, Washington for peacefully operating her business consistently with her faith. The ruling requires Ms. Stutzman to pay the attorneys’ fees that the ACLU racked up in suing her. This amount could be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars (adflegal.org).

If you can lose your job, or be forced to pay large sums of money because you don’t toe the liberal line, what’s coming next?

In 2014, New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo said that conservatives who are pro-life and pro-gun have no place in New York. How’s that for being a servant of all the people in your state? And recently celebrities Jimmy Kimmel and Eminem have come out and said that they didn’t want Donald Trump supporters as fans.

According to ushmm.org, during the first six years of Hitler’s dictatorship, from 1933 until war broke out in 1939, Jews felt the effects of more than 400 decrees and regulations that restricted all aspects of their public and private lives. The first wave of legislation, 1933/1934, focused on limiting the participation of Jews in German public life. The first major law to curtail the rights of Jewish citizens was the “Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service.” Under this law, Jewish and “politically unreliable” civil servants and employees were to be excluded from state services. This law was the first of many excluding Jews from organizations, professions, and other aspects of public life. Fast-forward to 1935 when Nazi leaders, at their annual party rally held in Nuremberg, announced that new laws which institutionalized many of the racial theories prevalent in Nazi ideology. These Nuremberg laws excluded German Jews from Reich citizenship and prohibited them from marrying or having sexual relations with persons of German or German related blood. Ancillary ordinances to these laws deprived Jews of most political rights, disenfranchising them. They could no longer hold public office or vote.

The above persecutions of the Jews culminated with the holocaust where Jews and other people the Nazi regime considered inferior, were rounded up, taken to concentration camps, tortured, and executed.

The Gestapo often broke into people’s homes in the middle of the night. Sometimes they would shoot them on sight, sometimes they would take them captive and send them to concentration camps.

What started out as seemingly benign acts grew into the holocaust.

Today in the United States, Democrats/liberals don’t hesitate to destroy those who don’t agree with them politically. Furthermore, conservatives, including Christians, and besmirched and are often told they are not welcome in certain circles and areas.

Could the United States of America evolve into a Nazi-like state where certain groups are persecuted on a regular basis, with acts of imprisonment, torture, execution?

Think about what might happen if and when liberals come back into power. Their level of hate for anyone who disagrees with them is beyond my imagination. Moreover, they will stop at nothing to destroy to destroy their opponents. Any actions or words spoken by their opponents can always be twisted into racism, misogyny, homophobia, etc. Plus, the main stream media has their back.

Very little remorse was forthcoming by Democrats after a Bernie Sanders supporter opened fire on a group of Republican Congressman. So, according to the left, are such actions okay. It would appear so.

Should you be afraid? All of us should be very afraid.

STORY ABOUT THE NFL – HOW IMPORTANT IS IT?

Throughout social media, people are questioning the news media’s covering of the NFL Story regarding multiple players refusing to stand while the National Anthem is played before football games. The coverage has been almost non-stop, and as one would expect, with the exception of Fox News and One America News, the media is taking the side that it’s perfectly okay to kneel for the National Anthem in protest of a cruel United States of America with a history of slavery and oppression of minorities.

When President Trump came out of Friday night, September 22, at a rally in Huntsville, Alabama, advising NFL team owners that they should fire “those SOBs who refuse to stand for the anthem,” a widespread movement swept among the players to kneel when the anthem was played.

Many folks are now boycotting the NFL and as you can imagine, there have been “opinions galore” out there. For the record, here’s mine. I blame the owners for allowing this kerfuffle to escalate to the extent it has. These players signed contracts with their respective teams, and when you sign a contract of employment, no matter what you position is, you agree to do what your employer tells you to do. The owners could have told the players, “stand for the National Anthem or be fired.” The end! But they didn’t. They wimped out.

While, of course, the players are to be held accountable for their actions and will certainly suffer repercussions, they are young men, many of them under the age of twenty-five. And they’re millionaires to boot. Groomed since childhood to be football stars, they held press conferences while in high school to announce the college they had chosen. Once they got on campus, they became the most popular guys on campus. In some states, such as my own, they became the most important people in the state, being loved, adored, and looked up to by many. After being drafted and signing multi-million-dollar contracts, they played football, and continued to be everyone’s darling. Pretty heady stuff.

Playing for an NFL team is hard work. Practices are grueling and pressure is never ending. These players are not your average twenty-four-year-old college graduates who are trying to “make it” in fields such as accounting, computer science, teaching, banking, etc. Do they watch the news, do they regularly visit news websites? Probably not. Majority of these players are black and many came from poor families. Furthermore, when someone tells them that the United States of America is a cruel racist country, and that’s why there are so many people living under the poverty line, many of them minorities, these players want to be seen as doing something good, plus they’re young and idealistic. They also want to fit in, to be popular with their peers. Thus, I put more of the blame on the owners and NFL management for allowing this to happen.  Like Bill O’Reilly said last night, it’s “pack mentality.” Also, many are not mature enough to think through what their actions might lead to down the road.

Having said all of the above, I’m also reading articles where many folks are complaining, saying that we have much more important stuff to cover and obsess on instead of football; things such as the damages and continued suffering of those affected by the recent hurricanes, plus “Little Rocket Man” on the other side of the world threatening to annihilate all of us. And let’s not forget the terrorist attack on a small church in Antioch, Tennessee where a gunman from the Sudan killed a woman church-goer in the parking lot and injured others, shooting until he was subdued by another church-goer with a carry permit and a gun. The mainstream media would not have covered the church shooting story anyway, because a black Islamic terrorist shooting at, killing and injuring white Christians, particularly southern white Christians is just not newsworthy, nor did it trigger widespread riots, looting, and allegations of police brutality.

I beg to differ with those who think the NFL story is immaterial in the wake of what else is taking place in the country and in the world.

The NFL and sports in general have always been large parts of our culture where all people regardless of financial status, social status, religion, ethnicity, ideology, etc. could come together for fun, and fellowship. The ultra-liberal sitting next to you in the stands wants the same thing as you want…for your team to win. As the United States of America becomes more polarized with respect to how we should govern ourselves now and in the future, the sports culture, where historically politics didn’t exist, has become increasingly important as a refuge and a uniting mechanism.

As I watched the left go nuclear at the president’s comments, calling him a racist (the media calling the president a racist…what else is new), when he didn’t even mention race or skin color in his remarks, followed by Roger Goodell’s actions and the team owners’ actions, it became all too apparent that this whole melee was being fueled by the left with its systematic methodologies to destroy the United States of America by vaporizing its history, including the constitution, and destroying its culture, institution by institution.

The organizers of the leftist movement to annihilate the United State of America, have now seen an opportunity to break up one of the nation’s cultural bastions, the National Football League. There have been calls for boycotting, not just the games, but boycotting NFL sponsors. And TV ratings have been down.  If the fans lose interest, income will go down, the owners will suffer, and eventually the players will suffer, not to mention all the people who work for the NFL and NFL teams in various capacities from grounds keepers, secretaries, accountants, etc. This could very well lead to a recession, especially if the left continues to attack and destroy other institutions.

Like Bill O’Reilly said last night on Hannity, left not only wants to destroy President Trump, they want to destroy his supporters, and they want to destroy the United States of America and build it back up according to their specifications, starting with a new constitution, the abolishment of the electoral college, the abolishment the three branches of government and the system of checks and balances. And who can predict what else. It’s “1984,” folks.

On Hannity last night, I noticed a slight apprehension that pervaded the Bill O’Reilly segment. Sean and Bill were both critical of the main stream media reiterating that it was as corrupt as it’s ever been. With what our young people are being taught in the public schools, or not being taught in the public schools, they have no knowledge of this country and its history, except that America has allowed the institution of slavery and continues to oppress minorities. Furthermore, since the end of the cold war, they have not been taught or nor have they seen the evils of communism and the effects of socialism. Thus, many millennials think communism and socialism are good philosophies as compared to the evils of capitalism in which we now live under.

How can this happen when the Republicans have the house, the Senate, and the presidency? I’ll tell you how, the far left has the press, a press that lives to denigrate President Trump every day, a press that promotes the lies, the hatred, the bigotry and the hypocrisy emanating from the left. If the only news that you watch are snippets of the network news or a few minutes of CNN or MSNBC, all you hear is “Russia, Russia, Russia,” Trump’s a racist, Trump’s a misogynist, Trump’s a homophobe, all Trump cares about are his wealthy friends, his supporters are ignorant, especially those southern white conservative Christians.

With a corrupt media, that promotes the left and lies about the right.  a large segment of the population that knows nothing about the cold war and the evils of communism, and conservatives who are scared of their own shadows who tremble at the thought of being called a racist, we can easily lose this nation. This is no laughing matter.

MICROAGGRESSION OF THE MONTH

Microaggression: a subtle but offensive comment or action directed at a minority or other non-dominant group that is often unintentional or unconsciously reinforces a stereotype. The act of discriminating against a non-dominant group by means of such comments or actions. (According to dictionary.com) Also, according to dictionary.com, the term has been around since 1970, and was “coined” by psychiatrist, Chester M. Pierce.

Because I don’t use the term and have no use for the term, I have to look its meaning up in the dictionary to refresh my memory.

I have a friend who is not from the south, and has it in her head that every southerner eats grits three times a day. I’ve indicated to her many times that I’m not a big grits eater, but she always asks me if I’m going to order grits whenever they’re on the menu. She one time ask me if I wanted her grits when they came with the breakfast she had ordered. Could this be a microaggression? I’ll admit it’s a little aggravating, but it certainly doesn’t offend me.

Another time, a fellow southerner asked me if I liked barbecue. Because I don’t like to use the word, “offend,” I’m not going to say that offended me, but it did sort of make me mad.  If you’re from the south, you like barbecue. That’s a given. In fact, I only know of two people on the planet, excluding the vegetarians I know, who don’t like barbecue. Neither are from the south and one of them is dead. Could that be considered a microaggression?

Also, I had a black friend years ago who always wanted to know if I was going to see Jeff Foxworthy (a southern white comedian whose material is about the south). Not being the biggest Jeff Foxworthy fan, my answer was always no. Then one time I turned it on my black friend and asked her if she was going to see him. And guess what? It made her mad that I would even ask her if she was going to see a white red-neck performer.

The above examples are silly, but so is the concept of microaggression in general. And we all know who invented microaggression? The left, of course.

An article from dailycaller.com on September 1, 2017, told of two professors who claim to have discovered a new form of politically incorrect offense called “invisibility microaggressions,” which are said to be even more subtle than regular microaggressions. Their proposed solution for these invisible microaggressions is to get rid of meritocracy. Not knowing what meritocracy meant, I looked it up. The meaning according to dictionary.com: an elite group of people whose progress is based on ability and talent rather than on class, privilege, or wealth. A system in which such persons are awarded and advanced. Leadership by able and talented persons.

The Daily Caller refers to a publication called Campus Reform which reported that a recent study by two professors, Jasmine Mena of Bucknell University and Annemarie Vaccaro of the University of Rhode Island, claimed that they are the first academics to discover that “invisibility” is a form of microaggressions not previously described in feminist academia.

Publishing their findings in the NASPA Journal about Women in Higher Education, these two women claim that the environment-based “invisibility microaggressions” occur when they are among the few or only non-whites in a workplace or communal context. Meanwhile, interpersonal “invisibility microaggressions” are said to hinder non-white people in everyday work roles because their ethnicity or gender is being ignored or because they don’t see other non-white people there.

The professors state that unlike regular microaggressions, which require at least two parties for them to occur, invisibility microaggressions only need for one person to feel invisible in an environment. A long black person among a sea of white faces could qualify as one of these invisibility microaggressions, especially if he or she isn’t singled out for being black. But if that happens, then can it possibly be a macroaggression? When I entered the term, “macroaggression” in dictionary.com, it asked me if I meant “microaggression.”

These women further say that the only way to deal with invisibility microaggressions is for campuses and workplaces to single out minorities and shower them with positive attention, to make them feel less invisible.

The women go on to say, rather than commend them on the merits of their work like any other employee, employers and colleges should deliberately select non-white women for high-profile awards and celebrate them on alumni magazines, newsletters, and other materials. These two women also recommend that campus leaders must be especially vigilant in considering and recommending Women of Color for leadership roles.

I thought the passage and signing into law of the 1963 Civil Rights Act was supposed to render a color-blind society where things like being the only black among all whites or the only woman among all men was meaningless. Guess I thought wrong, or I’m just an unenlightened oaf, a deplorable, an uneducated redneck, a bitter clinger. (Have I left anything out?) That’s what I’ve wanted to see all these years and I thought that’s what everyone else, including the left, wanted to see take place.

I think the left may have wanted the above at one time, also. But what happened? What made the left change? In a generation, the United States of America made great strides in becoming a color-blind society when it comes down to skin color. Racism or any other sin, will never be fully eliminated, of course, until Jesus returns and sets up his 1,000-year kingdom on earth.

Again, why is the left doing an about face from what they were advocating for the past forty years? Like I’ve said many times, it is the Democrats/liberals/progressives who are the read racists in this world. From the moment that the 1963 Civil Rights Act was passed, liberals, while in favor of the legislation, felt that blacks were inferior to white folks and thus, needed hand-outs and help in order to succeed. So, liberals made having children out of wedlock routine by giving single women money for each out of wedlock child they birthed. Furthermore, liberals initiated Affirmative Action because they felt that blacks were too stupid to “make it” in the “white man’s world.” The Democrat party is 100 percent responsible for the problems incurred by blacks, and in my opinion, Democrats have destroyed blacks in America. In their new philosophy of promoting segregation, Democrats/liberals/progressives have not changed their minds about blacks being inferior, they’re just continuing to promote those thoughts through different mechanisms.

Academics Discover New Way to Get Offended: ‘Invisibility Microaggressions’
